You guys make masterpieces. This and The Little Westerner are some of the tightest storytelling I've seen in a long time from any works. Wish you guys would allow comments on it, and for it to be saved. Also let us put the notification bell on
This was a superb little film! It was so gentle and sweet, and the Little Engine's journey from railway to railway was handled really well. I was really glad to see her get taken on by the Lakeside Railway, and her relationship with her driver was short but very sweet. Michelle did a wonderful job narrating this and I hope to hear her in more productions. Merry Christmas, man!
Thank you very much! It was a lot of fun filming the bits on the lakeside railway, especially abusing the pretty water reflections that Railworks provides. ;)
Lovely, LEGENDARY shots of the film and a great story line. The engines were certainly pleasant and interesting. And this is a kudos attempt at making a standalone story from Thomas, nothing else to improve cause this is one "rocking" story and detailed filming!
My heart! Her friends and their line seem familiar. :) The relationship between the engine and her driver was just absolutely everything. This certainly is a railway fairy tale full of feels.
This video is so heart warming! The story was so cenematic and the visuals and music really helped bring the story out. I love this video so much! Michelle also did a great job narrating.
Quite a tranquil story that never runs out of steam at any time so to speak. Achieves exactly what it's meant to; you really do feel a connection with her railway. I'm almost sorry I couldn't visit it in real life being fictional and all but still lovely story all round :)
Thanks man, and funnily enough the route I used to make this video was based on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and Llanberis Lake Railway, so technically you could visit it in real life. ;)
This is brilliant - I'm surprised I've only just now discovered this. Everything about it was amazing, especially Michelle's voice acting which was absolutely on point as usual. Keep up the good work, man. This one is going into my favorites :) Splendid job!
I like to imagen that every Christmas, edward will tell the other engines stories (like on Halloween but wholesome instead of spooky), & this is just one of the beautiful stories he's told of the years.
Thanks man! :) Though a sequel is not going to happen. I quite like this being a standalone story, and even if I did want to make one. I destroyed the route to make the snow scenes, and as it's no longer available, I can't redownload it to fix it. :P
Finally an original story I really like that's not just a remake of a TV series or such. It's a shame it's a one off, but then again, that's what makes it just as enjoyable. Beautifully animated, and the narrator is wonderful to listen to. I say this deserved to be up there with the like "Over the Hill" and such. Look forward to seeing other Original stories in future I hope.
very good video I like it I like the story. it reminds me of the story of one of the old railroad lines here in the USA when it was still running with the age of steam. Until the diesel locomotive took over the Regent. there was one such as the railroad of the Southern Pacific Railroad had a Narrow Gauge line period and had two locomotives SP number 1 and SP number 2. I like Narrow Gauge railroads as well as standard gauge railroads and alignment of gauges of different railroad lines. you have a good year I like your video very much and made me happy. I've had difficult times of my family so I hope you have a good year. you make me happy
Thank you, though funnily enough the Snowdon Mountain Railway has run in the past even when it's snowed. In this particular story I try and make it more the fact that it's the first snow the mountain railway ever experienced, and so there's a lack of not knowing quite what to do in the weather.
What a lovely and charming little story! And Michelle's narration was a nice touch, too. Well done to all, and a Merry Belated Christmas to all of you. ;)
AMAZING! I wish we could see more of the little engine! I have a few questions though, 1. What's the little engine's name? 2. What class of locomotive are they? Please answer to my questions.
wow, this was in a few words, spectacular, stunning, and heart warming, what a quaint little film superb ! the voice actor fitted this sequence of film amazingly, i hope to see more on this superb little line, and if so, a little thought, maybe connect the two railways, not to make it one long line, but to make crossings and visits of both the mountain railway engine, and the two lake side engines more frequent, well done on this.
Thank you! While the thought of continuing the story is nice, I'm quite fond of it as a standalone piece. In any case I kinda ruined the route filming the snow scenes, so it's unlikely I'd ever be able to use it again. :P
how does one ruin the film during snow scenes? it was sublime, fitted everything perfectly, and fair enough, would be nice to see some continuation on this but its your choice :), still congrats on an amazing piece again keep up the good work
Rather simply actually, the route's really old so it doesn't have changes in weather for the different season's like most railworks routes. Meaning I had to paint the snow and raise the terrain manually, and delete most of the green foliage. And as I couldn't duplicate the route file without the game crashing, yeh I had to physically destroy the route to make it look snowy. :P
Snowdon Mountain Railway not very important? How dare you :P. I really enjoyed this story, had that comedic feel. Llanberis Lake Railway was the railway being built across the road which goes from Gilfach Ddu to Llanberis then onwards to Penllyn before returning back to Gilfach Ddu 😀😀. I've been on the Llanberis Lake Railway once and it's very nice. never been on the Snowdon Mountain as it's very expensive, though I'd like to go one day. my favourite railway is the Rheilffordd Eryri (Welsh Highland) as it's a very scenic line through Snowdonia. I actually live in Wales, and I saw in the desc that you have moved here to go to uni. I do hope that you'll enjoy your time in Wales as it really is a very beautiful place. Gobeithio fe wnewch chi fwynhau eich amser yma yng Nghymru a mynd o gwmpas llawer o reilffyrdd tra eich bod yn aros yma 😃😃
Vincent Berkan I think, as with real life, the Snowdon rack isn't compatible with the Llanberis and there is a roundabout and station to get through as well
Thanks man, and it's simply cause two different companies own each railway, and with two different tourist goals in mind. One's touring the lakeside, the other's climbing up a mountain. The two lines don't really need to connect. Plus, while the little engine can visit the lakeside railway, the other two would be pretty useless on the mountain line. :P
Probably not, I quite like this being a standalone story. Admittedly I said the same thing about Percy Does the Thing and now that's turned into a trilogy. But in all seriousness, I kinda ruined the route in order to film this, so I couldn't return to it even if I wanted to. :)
Narrator here! They're meant to be Welsh, yes, and I see what you mean. My Welsh accent still being workshopped, I actually only started attempting to do it this year, so it nees practice to sound more authentic and consistent. I'll get there! But yeah, it's funny how one voice can sometimes easily transition into another, isn't it? Happens to me all the time. XD
It was a bit of a double-edged sword with this story, as the mountain engine's basis is Indian, so she got an Indian accent, but the other NG engines are Welsh. So it was basically inevitable to have some overlap, but I thought Michelle had a very good shot at distinguishing the two different if oddly similar accents. :)
Hey Scotsman........ Do you remeber my comment on one of the video's of rails of salvation.... You remeber what i said saying i would take over that Series but it wont because its your work and well..... I didint want to ruin everything...... Sorry about that comment....
It's a fictitious version of the Llanberis Lake Railway and Snowdon Mountain Railway, the route used to be available on UKTS, but it's not there anymore.
You guys make masterpieces. This and The Little Westerner are some of the tightest storytelling I've seen in a long time from any works. Wish you guys would allow comments on it, and for it to be saved. Also let us put the notification bell on
This was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for letting me take part, I hope I did it justice!
Thank you! And don't worry, I don't think this would've been the same without your narration! :)
I love the references to The Hobbit's first two sentences!
Michelle Hurtado Voice Acting
Brilliant job narrating.
Thank you for your sweet feedback, Tines! I feel so honored to have gotten to be a part of something this beautiful.
Thank you very much! It was a lot of fun filming the bits on the lakeside railway, especially abusing the pretty water reflections that Railworks provides. ;)
What game is it?
TheScotsmanReturns
Is there going to be sequel?
A very beautiful story, the visuals are nice and music is so relaxing.
Thanks man! It's a mix of music tracks from The Wind in the Willows TV show and The Jungle Book (2016) :)
Oh one thing I forgot to say: The narration done by Michelle Hurtado is beautiful.
Lovely, LEGENDARY shots of the film and a great story line. The engines were certainly pleasant and interesting. And this is a kudos attempt at making a standalone story from Thomas, nothing else to improve cause this is one "rocking" story and detailed filming!
Thank you very much! :)
TheScotsmanReturns Long live Scotsman!
My heart!
Her friends and their line seem familiar. :) The relationship between the engine and her driver was just absolutely everything.
This certainly is a railway fairy tale full of feels.
It would be epic if that engine came to the skarloey railway and lived a life there
I imagine the more interesting alternative would be the engine visiting the Culdee Fell on Sodor instead. ;)
This video is so heart warming! The story was so cenematic and the visuals and music really helped bring the story out. I love this video so much! Michelle also did a great job narrating.
Thank you! :)
pure art! such a nice calm little story. so very heartfelt and warming. your best yet! Merry Christmas!
Thanks man! And Merry Christmas!
Quite a tranquil story that never runs out of steam at any time so to speak. Achieves exactly what it's meant to; you really do feel a connection with her railway. I'm almost sorry I couldn't visit it in real life being fictional and all but still lovely story all round :)
Thanks man, and funnily enough the route I used to make this video was based on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and Llanberis Lake Railway, so technically you could visit it in real life. ;)
I'd love to see the adventures of the little mountain engine
This is brilliant - I'm surprised I've only just now discovered this. Everything about it was amazing, especially Michelle's voice acting which was absolutely on point as usual. Keep up the good work, man. This one is going into my favorites :) Splendid job!
I loved the Ivor-like intro
Amazing and beautiful work, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thank you! :)
I like to imagen that every Christmas, edward will tell the other engines stories (like on Halloween but wholesome instead of spooky), & this is just one of the beautiful stories he's told of the years.
I can imagine the engine narrating this
I loved this!!! It was really good. I'd love to see a sequel where maybe the two lines connect and become one railway. That would be really cool
Thanks man! :)
Though a sequel is not going to happen. I quite like this being a standalone story, and even if I did want to make one. I destroyed the route to make the snow scenes, and as it's no longer available, I can't redownload it to fix it. :P
Why not attempt at rebuilding it?
This video reminds me of the llanberris lake railway and the snowdon mountain railway in Wales
nice story and beautiful music and the landscape! Thank you for this ''present story'' on christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
Thank you very much! :)
can't.
stop.
watching.
This is just too beautiful for me! The best Trainz thing I've seen this year, comparing to Home: The Long Way Round. Merry Christmas :)
Well, it is Railworks after all, not Trainz ;-) Merry Christmas!
Still
Thank you. :)
TheScotsmanReturns NP. Can't wait for what comes in 2017! ;-)
what a nice story makes me wanna cry it was so good
a great story... not too long or short... truly beautiful
Finally an original story I really like that's not just a remake of a TV series or such.

Beautifully animated, and the narrator is wonderful to listen to.

I'm glad you liked my narration! It was such an honor to be asked to take part in this beautiful story. :)
Thank you!
And I've certainly got a few things planned for the future. ;)
Aw, such a heart-warming story. Very well done. Merry Christmas!
Thank you! :)
Well then, we have a girl narrator now, yay
Yep, that's me! It's always an honor to do work for the creative people in this community. :)
Simply just a heart-warming episode, It's just so gourgos and simply marvelous.
Thanks man! :)
This was so beautiful I nearly cried
This is a very nice story and the ways it’s told and it’s speed is on point 😊
very good video I like it I like the story. it reminds me of the story of one of the old railroad lines here in the USA when it was still running with the age of steam. I like the correlation with this and the Llanberis Lake and Snowdon Mountain Railways
Nice video, quite true to life in as much as few trains run at Christmas due to strikes, engineering works and bad weather.
Thank you, though funnily enough the Snowdon Mountain Railway has run in the past even when it's snowed. In this particular story I try and make it more the fact that it's the first snow the mountain railway ever experienced, and so there's a lack of not knowing quite what to do in the weather.
This is a really wonderful little video. Very different and very special. I love it.
Thanks man! :)
Fantastic little story, loved it from start, to finish. Merry Christmas to all!
Thank you very much. :)
What a lovely and charming little story! And Michelle's narration was a nice touch, too. Well done to all, and a Merry Belated Christmas to all of you. ;)
Thanks, Joel! I hope things are going well with this next step in your career. We should catch up soon!
Indeed, we must! Maybe sometime after the 9th of January?
Just after my birthday and when everything gets back to normal from Christmas so yeah, works for me!
Thanks man! :)
Beautiful absolutely beautiful
Thanks man! :)
This was truly wonderful! Such a lovely story, very heartwarming indeed. :)
Thank you. :)
Very nice, very very nice. I'd think this is one of the most unique stories I've ever seen.
Thanks man!
no, thank you for the video.
Beautiful. No other word for it. Merry Christmas, Mayoorhan, and a Happy New Year!
Thank you, and likewise, merry Christmas and a happy new year! :)
AMAZING! I wish we could see more of the little engine! I have a few questions though,
1. What's the little engine's name?
2. What class of locomotive are they?
Please answer to my questions.
Please answer.
Lorry 092805 The Little Engine has no name, and she is one of the steam engines on the Darjeeling Himalayan line in Asia.
There's a lesson in this. Don't be afraid of new things that come around. Be brave and accept the things that happen.
Amazing video. I love it. Michelle did a wonderful job narrating.
That was nice :) adorable Mayoorhan - happy Christmas and have a great new year!(that said I think we all need a great new year.. :P)
Thanks man, and the simple solution is to keep striving for greatness every year, build upon what worked last year! :)
May I say, this is an absolute masterpiece! Merry Christmas to you too indeed!
Thank you! :)
This is such an amazing story...
This really was splendid Mayoorhan. Well done.
Wow this is amazing. Thanks for making this!
Lovely to see some narrow gauge :)
Indeed, narrow gauge is brilliant! :P
What a great story!
Thank you for making this
This is just amazing, Great job and Merry Christmas!
Thank you. :)
This was absolutely beautiful😊
A realy lovely story!
Well done! I really liked how freelanced the story was.
Thank you! :)
fantastic video. I hope to see more like it
This's ultra awesome stuff right here.
Thank you! :)
The two little engines are like the narrow gauge types aren't they TheScotsmanReturns?
wow, this was in a few words, spectacular, stunning, and heart warming, what a quaint little film superb ! the voice actor fitted this sequence of film amazingly, i hope to see more on this superb little line, and if so, a little thought, maybe connect the two railways, not to make it one long line, but to make crossings and visits of both the mountain railway engine, and the two lake side engines more frequent, well done on this.

This really made me smile
Aww, thanks man! :)

Very nice story! Merry Christmas :)
Thank you! :)
why is the mountain railway not connected to the lakeside railway ?
Many reasons, presumably the same reasons why Llanberis and Snowdon aren't connected together in real life! ;)
TheScotsmanReturns yeah this video reminds me of Llanberis Lakeside railway and The Snowdonia Mountain railway.
So touching, beautiful :D
Thank you! :)
If they're right down the road I'm sure they could extend the line and merge the two railways.
Beautiful...
Thank you! :)
TheScotsmanReturns No thank you for making this!
great video and if you don't mind me asking will there be a nother next Christmas?
Thanks man! And this will probably remain a standalone story, in any case I don't plan that far ahead. :P
This is a wonderful story. How come they didn't connect the two railways together?
Vincent Berkan I think, as with real life, the Snowdon rack isn't compatible with the Llanberis and there is a roundabout and station to get through as well

TheScotsmanReturns To quote Sir Handel 'they would just slide, surely'
Aww that’s like me on my first day of school home is my home and school had friends
i love this!
very well done!
Can you do more videos of this locomotive
Probably not, I quite like this being a standalone story. Admittedly I said the same thing about Percy Does the Thing and now that's turned into a trilogy. But in all seriousness, I kinda ruined the route in order to film this, so I couldn't return to it even if I wanted to. :)
i think i sense some subtle Ivor the engine inspirations. can you conform that?
11:48 Rheneas’ Whistle!
very nice video but just one question is this route set in Llanberis?
Thank you, and yes it's an old route I found on UKTS.
TheScotsmanReturns thanks!
10:17 looks like Skarloey and Rheanes.
Merry Christmas Mayo
Likewise and thank you. :)
:D
Suddenly The railway just got bank rupt randomly
Very nice.
You did the start of Ivor The Engine
What app is this I’m curious because I’m a huge train person
Mr. Scotsman I have one question. Do you know Mr. Lawl?
Nice, and merry christmas
Thanks man! :)
Is that the 'Wind In The Willows' theme at the beginning?
Where did you get the engines from?
Please do a third "Percy does the thing"
DW, the third Percy Does the Thing is definitely going to be a...erm...well...a thing. ;)
I don't make videos yet. I want to learn the ins and outs of making videos and creating art for my channel so I can one day start making videos
This little engine doesn’t like the lake side railway when her railway runs in the mountains which is sort of dangerous
are the engine voices supposed to be welsh, because they sound sort of Indian, and i get that as when i try to do Welsh, it turns to Indian somtimes
Narrator here! They're meant to be Welsh, yes, and I see what you mean. Michelle Hurtado Voice Acting same hete, dont get me started on my Scottish to Irish
Skarloey and Blue Rheneas
cool you used indian narrow gauge stock
Hey Scotsman........ Do you remeber my comment on one of the video's of rails of salvation....
You remeber what i said saying i would take over that Series but it wont because its your work and well..... I didint want to ruin everything...... Sorry about that comment....
Why dose the lil' engine need to pull the coaches backwards?
How is the driver not feeling ear pains at that altitude
You Could've Just Called This "A Tale of Two Railways"
You should have made it so the two lines connected and became on big special line
whats the the music called at 11:16
Are you using Indiana engine
what route is this?
It's a fictitious version of the Llanberis Lake Railway and Snowdon Mountain Railway, the route used to be available on UKTS, but it's not there anymore.
Scot, what route is this?
Llanberis Lake Railway and Snowdon Mountain Railway from UKTS.
TheScotsmanReturns Thank you Scot
TheScotsmanReturns Do you have the page link on hand Scot, I can't find it on UKTS.
Sorry, I don't. I think it got removed off the site sometime after I downloaded it. If I can find it somewhere else, I'll let you know! :)
TheScotsmanReturns Thank you Scot
