I have been STRUGGLING with my belts for the longest time. I know I have the range but I never knew how to properly use it without feeling tight and strained. This was AMAZING it totally changed the game
You’re right this IS a game changer!! Thank you Madeleine!! I love you so much! 🩵💙💜
Is it ok to go slightly into mixed voice? I notice after G I can no longer stay in full chest voice - is this ok? Is this still considered belting?
I swear the like button just doesn't feel enough for your videos! I wanna give likes, hearts, applause, hugs, everything! You are such a great teacher! You always explain it thorough enough for so many different minds to comprehend efficiently. Thank you so much for unselfishly being such a blessing to me personally. I thank God for you and I pray for an abundance of favor and blessings in your life! You are very much appreciated Madeleine 💙
The “yeah’s” is what one of my teachers used call “singing thru the mask”, meaning the sinus cavity, and you can literally feel it buzz. When you add in the AH’s she would tell me to imagine the sound coming thru my top teeth.
This is a great description of exactly that!
Love it!
I've used this video so many times to warm up, it's so fantastic! Thank you!
Wow! Thank you for the love! I'm so happy that you're enjoying it. Happy singing!
I finally felt pressure without strain! My gosh took forever!
I have had several voice teachers and I must say you are so good and easy to understand and follow! I love your workouts! I don't have alot of extra time so having your quick workouts is so helpful!

Thank you for this warmup. This is a great tool for my students too. I crushed it.
very innovative, effective, and challenging! You're awesome!
Thanks for another great teaching, Madeleine. Have been practicing the video from our first lesson, and can see marked improvements!
WHOA GIRL THAT INTRO!!!! Good for you!
Good timing. I was just thinking about doing a vocal warmup
so well explained
another phenomenal video. So precise So helpful 🙏❤
This helps me so much! Before I think I was belting the wrong way and I could’ve hurt my vocal chords, but this helped A LOT!
This helped me so much thank you!! I really love you as a teacher
Thanks Madeleine! You're an excellent teacher. It's easy to visualize what you're explaining. New sub here!
Thankx for sharing this type of video for warm up ...really great experience 👍
Hey Madeleine! Love your style of teaching. I have been watching all of your lessons starting from the oldest and I have been learning a lot. I was hoping you could do a video on how to growl(the kind of growling in your "If it Hadn't Been for Love" video). There's a lot of misinformation across platforms on how to do this and trying it out by myself feels risky cause I know if it's not done the right way, it can damage the voice. Looking forward to it
Your introduction is FANTASTIC !!!
THE INTRO IS GIVING!! U LOOK AWESOME! Love ur videos :)
I wish I could hit that like button over and over again! This exercise has helped me sooooo much, that I’ve included it in my practice. Thank you so much Madeleine for your great work. 💜
Love the intro...love yoooouuu.
Magnificent ending. Thank you so much ❤

WHAT A GREAT TEACHER, I AM A VOICE TEACHER BUT YOU TEACH IN A GREAT WAY I WILL SEND MY STUDENTS TO WATCH YOUR VIDEOS
Thank you it really me help out to learn to percive the pressure.
Yes! You're amazing, thank you so much for making this Madeleine
Love you friend!
Ms. Madeleine, you do a fantastic job of describing why 'this or that' is done. I had taken classic voice training years ago, based on the same principles of singing, but not as thorough. Thx. little pixie :)
Good stuff!
I really felt like lift-off!! It was brilliant 👏🏻
what an amazing intro😮
THANK YOUUUU!!!! 🙏🏻😊♥️ 🙌🏼👑👑
OMG UR BACK QUEEEEN SLAY !!!!!!
Thank you!
I used to belt consistently for years then I started singing much more softly the past few years and recently I've been trying to get back to belting like I used to and trying to remember how to belt "properly" and how it's suppose to feel (not hurt or feel strained) and I have been struggling. You explain everything SO well and I already feel everything (in my throat, head, chest) coming back - the exercises are easy to follow and I already feel such a huge difference and more control. Thank you SO much! I'm excited to get back in the studio now and feeling much more confident with my approach using your techniques - you are amazing! ❤🔥✨
This is great, thanks! :)
Great one my teacher thought me to do a siren sound to activate them !!
This helps so so so much!!! Would love to see a video that connects to this (maybe exercises to help with incorporating actual melodies and words…?)
Thank YOU VERY much!
Thank you!
I really enjoy your videos. I studied under a great teacher Sue Harmon. Your videos take me back to her lessons. They aren't pretty arpeggios but sounds ,usually ugly, and feeling the voice placement. All my singing friends look at me crazy when I do my warm ups. But they work. Also I was a tuba player turned vocalist. I have always pressurized and run out of air fast because that is what happens when playing tuba. I need to find an in-between for breath control for long phrases. I'd love any advice. The hardest song for breath control I ever did was "Spossa son Disprezzata" attributed to Vivaldi. It was elen measures at a medium speed. It was hit and miss. Keep up the healthy singing advice. Love it!
i need this teacher in my life! i
THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you for keeping the energy for both of us. My focus needs more focus. Until next time. :)
I love your new hairstyle!!
I love the new intro! It is so fitting!
THANX ONE MORE TIME!! ❤

Thank you so much for contributing to my channel! I'm so glad to hear that these lessons are helping you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your vocal journey!
Finally finished the video! Very nice. Thank you.
Would be cool to have an entire video on soft and hard palates in each register 💜💜like the differences for each

So much useful content. I'm still singing "yeeeeaaast". Wait for meee
Hey Madeleine! I was enjoying some past videos you've got on doing the "Alien voice" for belting. I'm curious did you end up retiring those exercises or do you still recommend them? Thank you so much
Bravissima
Dear Madeleine! What table do you have for your Piano? Is amazing! I need it for my piano in the middle of my kitchen🙏🤩
HI Madeleine, to my understanding, we need to have a full support from the diaphragm that generate compressed air to vibrate the vocal cord for a clean, projected sound. would you please clarify and explain how it is different from this practice you are teaching us to belt? You are emphasizing the highly pressurized air when belting. Thanks a lot.
what just happened? thank you wow ❤how? thank you thank you
Your warm up is amazing!! But ihave question, what if my voice shaking when it’s high note ? Should i keep practicing this to make it more stable?
i used to be a vocal teacher for kids and the chipmunk made me fart every time. never had that happen before lol
Highly underrated comment 😂❤
This was really helpful! The last exercise kinda makes my throat tickle, though - am I doing it wrong?
I have never been to a vid this early
W O W.
I can't help but "distort" my voice when doing the YEAA exercises... any tip please? It happens more often when changing from YE to A
I would LOVE LOVE see a video on how to properly project over a band without shouting. Is there a brand of microphone that helps ??? This is sooooo frustrating when working with sound people. Ugh…
Quick question, do I have to do this all in my chest voice???
With the super horizontal mouth position/teeth almost shut (I’m classically trained so this feels foreign to me!), how do you avoid tension in the neck? Perhaps my neck is just tight, but I find when I do this position it creates tension down there and it feels like my larynx is fighting to rise despite supporting well. Is there anything I am doing wrong with this ?
Damn that intro goes in hard
How did you even conceive this? Gonna work on this! Thanks!!!
I CANR DO IT
shit thats so easy.... but very effect thank you soo sooo ~ 🎤muuuuuuuch! p.s I can belt that out now because of you
❤❤❤❤
Is my throat supposed to hurt a little? And I get a tickling in my throat which makes me cough?
