Maybe you can relate, but when I moved and hit that 9 month mark, I felt both "I can't believe 9 months passed" and "it's only been 9 months?!" at the same time. Love hearing you reflect on wanting to not just work more, but to live with more intention. I needed to hear that and be reminded of why I moved too!
Hey Ryan, I just wanted to say that your video really resonated with me. It takes a lot of courage to open up about the struggles we face in content creation, and I admire your honesty. Your perseverance throughout the past 9 months is truly inspiring. Even during difficult times, you manage to create amazing content that brightens my day. Keep pushing forward, because your hard work and dedication truly pay off. You've got a fan here who believes in you. Stay strong! And keep inspiring me to be a better creator! Much love as always.
Glad you are doing OK Ryan! Although we enjoy these vids don’t feel pressure to upload, especially if the client work is what pays the bills. That table looks solid, hope the rest of it arrives soon. So many creators in LA, have you found many to connect with?
It’s crazy how far you’ve gotten Ryan, I remember in grade school when you come over and we were best friends at the time, just crazy how time goes by man, I hope your doing good, it’s Junior by the way and keep doing your thing, one step at a time
You placed expectations on the place you moved to. A lot of people that come to Los Angeles believes that by moving here, things will just start happening, but it's a city, and you need to hustle and realize that for everyone of you, there's probably a 100 more.
Its been almost 4 years into the field of working professionaly and quite a number of times I have felt the urge to create content for myself and on youtube and work towards it. So I relate to the thing that why you made this video. I am also feling stuck from a little while now. But definetly being stuck and not feeling progressing towards what we want to achieve and intend to achieve doesn't mean we aren't trying to or not moving; maybe it's not 0 to 1 maybe its 0 to 0.2546. And that's still progress I consider. Very happy to be watching this video, eventhough a little late; but definetly resonating with the energy you are feeling Ryan.
I totally understand where you come from. You got to realize that you’re a thousand miles away than 99% of filmmakers! Not that it matters to compare to others, as this is such a personal journey. I’ve been saying for 2 years I want to start a YT channel and literally haven’t for WHATEVER reasons. And weeks, months, years go by. And time is spent working on other stuff to make $$$ and support the family. So I think you’re doing awesome 👏🏻 just keep doing what you love and making things work on all ends of the spectrum. I’ll be in LA for a week and hopefully I’ll run into you haha
I’m making the move out to LA for the same reason, in addition to wanting more film work. I’m going out the Van Nuys, but I’m equally as excited as I am nervous.
This is the way it is for human beings. When we were young smth happened where we didn’t belong. We put a strategy in place to fix it. The more we use the strategy the less we belong. We are all too small, not enough and don’t belong at some point. The compensation doesn’t fix it. It makes it bigger. Being authentic and communicating it loosens the connection. It takes a very big person to be authentic about it.
I honestly think youtube/ig or social media in general is effective as a Tool, not as a community Real community is being able to say these things to people in our real lives, that's where we will truly find that connection We got to stop chasing connection through social media because I think subconsciously we really only use it for people to make us feel like we have value, or to get approval in my opinion
Life happens. We get dragged in directions we never thoguht we'd go at times. Just do your best to enjoy it all. We only get one go at life after all. Al lthe best, man. Cheers.
I and my wife got to LA in January 2023 and I flew here from Russia with no friends, relatives, papers and money, with only $5000 and 3 bags. That's what really hard.
Being a gizzillion honest here. Never have heard of you and tripped over your channel here. Good stuff on here. In my very very humble opinion if you are not a ft tuber then whatever:). This is not easy and if being honest many times you can totally tell the different between someone that loads yt videos always watching the algo and someone doing it and anything from it is gravy. You seem to have a pretty darn good life. Enjoy it and that’s it. I apologize as my intention is not trying to tell you what to do. It’s more intended to say life is so flippin short. Getting caught up in the what ifs of life will only waste more what the hecks. Take care and happy I found your channel.
Wow, this video is the most relatable thing I’ve seen in a while. Thanks man. Love seeing you share your experiences like this in a more raw format
Isn’t Ed? Just like what we last chatted about, it’s better to be raw and authentic nowadays, all of us creators are out here really grinding!
I really appreciate your openness and sharing your thoughts and 'struggles'. Thank you! 🙏🏽
Thanks for stopping by to watch Jasmijn :)

Yes, I read the description. Welcome to LA!

Wow, thank you for those words Jeffrey.
Man this really resonates with me...I'm in a similar stage in my creative journey. Thanks for sharing! 🙏 Love your stuff
Thanks for watching, seriously. :)
I've tried to treat myself as my own client, that way I don't ignore the "personel" work as client work picks up. It's a balancing act for sure.

Awesome Video again! I really feel the same at the moment! Good Luck to you!
Thanks Domenik... I appreciate you :)
