Swimming in 20°C at Watauga Lake, Tennessee

After a long day of work, we had planned to go hiking, but the weather was so cloudy that we decided to go for a swim instead-and yes, I was definitely up for that! While driving to Watauga Lake, we started wondering if it was the best idea since it had been raining almost all day, and the temperature had dropped to around 18-20°C. But we went for it anyway, and I’m so glad we did! I had an amazing time swimming and chatting with Emily, my lovely host. Watauga Lake is such an incredible spot in northeastern Tennessee; it felt like a scene straight out of Harry Potter and the final battle in Part 7.2, when Voldemort finds the wand and points it to the sky-it was just that magical! Lol.
