Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through RUclips videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

Conner, Hi😅 ..er. the pot/bowl for pooping in is called a Chamber-Pot or a Bedpan, if the pot is part of a chair/seat or small bench like contraption, then it is a Commode.
In Ireland they are often called jerries, maybe because they look a bit like German WW2 headgear.

I don't mind when he pauses a video to ask a useful question. It's just when he comes out with inane ramblings and even confuses himself that I can't stand ! That, and his need to tell us when he needs to pee or drink from a bucket !! Just pause the video and do these things. No need to involve us all !

The first police cars were standard saloons,normally black coloured. To distinguish them from identical non police models,some body panels - doors,boot lids and bonnets were painted white,the public then dubbed them panda cars. This persisted even when the standard colour changed to pale blue with white panels in the 60’s.

We have stone walls too, but in counties where stone is predominant for building.
So usually, the stone in the walls matches the stone in the houses.
Derbyshire is particularly famous for its stone walls, and further north still there's no shortage.
You forgot to mention that Wales , parts of Cheshire , Lancashire , Cumberland , Yorkshire , Northumberland Scotland and other places have dry stone walls
I was one of those that had to clean out comodes or change incontinence pads lol , someone had to do it and you don't mind if you care . Not supposed to have favourites but mine was mable Gregory 100 yrs old born in 1898 she was so sweet . 😊
Perfectly good thing to pause and talk about. I seem to remember hearing about stone piles from land clearing thousands of years ago. I guess those piles of stones were used to make the walls more recently. The stones are from ice sheets thousands of years before the piles. There are schools and hobby courses over here where you can go to learn dry stone walling. I'm sure there must be loads of schools over there in the north too.

The 'panda' refers to police cars - the wee ones, not the souped up ones they use on the motorway.

Yeah we have stone walls all over Britain for that same purpose and they also line pretty much every road, lane and path all throughout my village. Apparently they don't have them in New Zealand though. A friend of mine came over from there to visit me and mentioned this. When he saw them it was like one of the great wonders of the world to him! To be, it's just part of every day life and I just take them for granted and so never really 'notice' them.
You have a fellow You Tuber by the name of Sue Smith, who said as a nurse she used to clean bedpans. .. . Is a good thing Dutch such people exist.

Police cars used to be known as 'Panda cars' because they were black & white like pandas.
in uk its nurses i guess same in the us
Pandas is a reference to the small cars used by local police, or more junior lower lvel ranks of. PCs (police constables).
Initially in the early mid 1980's, many small cars such as Austin/Leyland Minis.and small compact sedans, were replaced mostly with Fiat Pandas across many of police forces as an governmental cost saving measure, which had large dark plastic bumpers, that contrasted with base white paintwork of the vehicle, hence "panda" or "black and whites"

@@nicolad8822 ok. . I was led to believe they were, since black and white colours on British police cars was never a standard - but the large dark plastic bumpers of the Fiat Panda made them more panda alike than just the model name itself.
