Most convience stores and fast food sell coffee and hot drinks in plastic or chemical coated paper cups. Some BBQ restaurants keep hot meat wrapped in plastic until served -- really unhealthy

Very true. I have worked at a couple BBQ restaurants and the cooked meats for the day were always wrapped in what is labeled as “food safe” plastic. Definitely not a good combination of cooked, hot meat being wrapped and stored at high temperatures.

I think that alcohol in plastic packaging should have been mentioned. Alcohol acts as a strong solvent for plastic, and especially strong alcohol drinks in plastic bottles absorbed (dissolved) a large amount of plastic from the packaging. Also, oils are also solvents for plastics, and you should avoid buying oils in plastic bottles.

Thanks for this important info, Siim. I'm in my 60s. A few years ago, my testosterone dropped to ~300, with a noticeable negative effect in my life. I stopped drinking out of soft plastic water bottles (which I had done for years exclusively). Within a few months my T jumped back up to ~600. And without going into details, the positive effect was very noticeable for me. I had made no other change in my diet or exercise routine.
I now use water from the big hard plastic containers. That seems find, but perhaps I should start boiling the water.

By chance nearly all the water I consume is hard and boiled. For protein I eat mostly eggs, canned fish and canned meat. I don't eat highly processed foods. I always prefer cotton clothing (non cotton clothes give me body odour). I don't buy coffee in disposable containers, and I don't eat takeaway food. I use very few toiletries or creams, mostly just pure soap. I will throw away my plastic chopping boards and buy glass storage boxes. On my street I have noticed for the past 10 years that my household every week produces about 1/3rd of the garbage that other homes produce. It's a sick world.
