The truck looks good, but for some reason I could see a more dramatic difference in the Travelall? I think because it was a darker blue color? BTW love your girls on the videos. They seem to be sweet girls. The little one is quite the entertainer. She makes me laugh! Keep up the great work!

Back when I was a young auto painter we sprayed alkyd enamels, we had to have a paint booth, until my old boss,Earl Scheib and his one step urethanes and the acrylic lacquers that came along, that allowed you to paint your car in your driveway, that was how it was done, I quit the auto painting business because I couldn't find any life insurance, but you mentioned brushing a paint on a car Sherwin Williams actually has a hybrid alkyd enamel called Emerald
$60 a gallon it ain't cheap it is intended for indoor finish wood surfaces they claim you cant apply it with a brush and not have any brush strokes, I've sprayed it on interior wood finishes and I can tell you it's all it's cracked up to be some guys are afraid to spray a gloss because it is so damn hard, it is extremely durable almost rock hard and according to the label it is also for metals too , you don't use primer for it it is its own primer a primer will just make it chip off easier, so if I got the right computer matched color I could spray your car with it and you would not be able to tell it wasn't an auto finish paint, I could probably even brush it on. I'm serious nobody would even have a clue. Your old Dotson pick up and those two internationals right there those are factory alkayd enamel finishes.

Thank my Indian giving family for teaching me this , proof of ownership is being able to do whatever you want with whatever you own and no one has anything to say about it, if that's not true it's not really yours you don't own it.
So keeping all that in mind I don't have a damn thing to say about your truck.
But I'll give you my opinion I hate modern colors on older vehicles that is ugly AF, there's no matter which way you look at it whether you're sitting on your ass or standing up that truck looks unfinished, that's the way most people will see it it could not hurt much to put the original color back on it but that would be my truck and it isn't., It's yours and it's a mighty fine job of restoration there buddy great job really.

Great Truck - love the video - and your kids are fantastic...... but you need to be wearing gloves when you put this stuff on. Really need safety glasses.... but at least gloves. If you have that stuff on your hands, and then later wash with hot water - your pores open up and that stuff gets in your system. Just a friendly tip..... Also you don't need to be putting it on in the sun. Great PSA for the rags, which makes my point. Again - love the truck. The sauce makes it look great. I've used it on my truck for some time.

Looks great.! I recently heard of a sauce called Flood by Penetrol that seems to be very similar in use that people put on with a roller or paint brush ( better) and I imagine a microfiber would work also. But its like $10 a can and that's a lot cheaper, so I'm going to find some at Lowe's ( I hear) and try it out soon ! Really love your videos and your rat rods. I like how you never give up and figure it all out and we get to see it all which helps us on our own rigs ! You just don't give up until its done and then move on to what's next ! Because there's always a next ! LarryMac
