    I wish i could come and see you doctors, i have had this problem for near on 4yrs now, 2extensive pain management courses with no benefit, and after listening to Daniella and what she had to say is exactly what i have experienced.
    I wanted to write an email , telling you how i believed it happened and that i have been miss diagnosed, to compare possibly with other peoples injuries as i been to a number of doctors and no better off .

    since you mentioned degenerative disc disease that is mainly a concern. is their anyway prolotherapy or term stemcell treatments can reverse or regenerate a desiccated disc. I will consider calling soon.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  7 лет назад +4

      Hi Javier, It can help, yes, but it really is worth looking into your case as a whole and better understanding what needs to happen to improve the underlying condition that keeps the disc in the degenerative state and reversing those conditions. This typically goes back to correcting underlying spinal instability. You may want to check out our e-book on our website and read more about Prolotherapy for the spine. Look forward to talking with you more and having you come in to the office for a consultation and exam. Take care for now.

    what happens if you start exercising too soon after the treatment? I tried running a bit a week after my shot in a big toe and I felt a bit of pain. Could the pain be due to the shot?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад

      Hi Gabriel, Please reach out to the provider who treated you, as they would know what the specific treatment was and be able to guide you on getting back to running. Often, pain is used as the guide as to if someone is doing too much too soon and then needs to back off, or possibly not start with running and do other exercises in the initial couple of weeks after Prolotherapy. It would 100% be dependent upon your provider's recommendations on your specific case. We wish you all the best in healing and getting back to your favorite sports asap!

    I had 4 prolo treatments done on my SI joints, it lasted 4 month during lock down but I have Hyper-mobility Ehlers Danlos syndrome that affect my entire spine along with Klippil Feil syndrome. Every level in my cervical and lumbar spine is fused, herniated or self fusing together. I was told that someone with my conditions may take 8 to 10 initial treatments with additional 2 to 3 yearly afterwards. Do I have to start all over now that it's been 6 months since my last injection ? and does that many treatments sound about right?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  4 года назад +1

      Hi Jamie, Sorry to hear about your spine and the chronic pain you are managing. Hope that the Prolotherapy treatments you are receiving will help. In our experience, Prolotherapy can help long-term unless there is a re-injury to the area. Unfortunately, with EDS, people are prone to new injuries and that may require treatment of many kinds- Prolotherapy, massage, chiropractic, bracing, etc. Some joint injuries may be a good Prolotherapy case and others may have a different treatment recommendation. As you know, each joint can present its unique challenges in everyone's individual EDS case. For instance, someone may feel great after only one treatment on a knee but need 8 treatments for their low back to feel stable. Usually, 3-6 treatments are average, but there can be instances that require more like 6-10. If a patient with EDS finds a Prolotherapist who they like, it is good to talk these things out as they come up and stay in contact with the office, just like with a GP or other long-lasting physician relationship. That way you can address things as they arise and hopefully not need a lot of treatments for every issue. Addressing something right away might mean 1 treatment versus waiting and it needing 4. Time between treatments can differ too. They are usually spaced in a pattern that matches the timeline that the body repairs tissue, sometimes closer together in the earlier treatments, 2-8 weeks apart. But we have definitely seen patients who needed to wait longer between treatments and still felt that Prolotherapy was beneficial in the long-run. Wish you all the best in health!

    Is Prolotherapy and PRP the same? Or is Prolo = Dextrose and PRP is Platelet/Plasma?

    Hello, I've suffered from chronic migraines but in the past few years I've noticed that its on the same side and my whole right side of the head becomes tender. It always starts from neck pain. I'm assuming it's occipital neuralgia. I've done cortisone shots when the pain was extremely bad. They migraine meds do no help that pain. I'm wondering if I should look into this.

    if stemcells are a permanent solution in theory than why does the problem return specific to the back discussion. so if cells are regenerating to reconstruct an a new disc environment does this mean that even though this happens it does not grow strong enough to hold up permanently. if you say to someone that it is not a form of masking the pain it is a permanent heal than it shouldn't return every so often and than need a revisit tune up. I know that every case may be different gratitude of the injury. but doesn't that separate the means of how much stem cell or how it gets treated. it's very discouraging to feel an approach to doing this talent and feeling as if am I really putting something aside for a while or is it an actual fix. I have l4 l5 disc injury. mri recent report and am looking to do this procedure soon. it's expensive. and it's hard enough being at the top of the line with cost to than find out for yourself what the real deal was.
    if you can further explain this because in 2 close enough videos posted I heard slight 2 different understandings of permanent healing to what degree? and coming back again. those 2 factors don't go with each other. yes and no maybe? please explain but appreciate most videos. has been the most informative byfar so far I have found and honest.

      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  7 лет назад

      Hi javier, Thanks for reaching out. There are a couple points to try and clarify. Stem cell therapy is a type of Prolotherapy, but there are a number of different solutions. Most people do not need the expense of stem cell therapy to get long-term pain relief. This is our experience doing Comprehensive Prolotherapy. It is also, not just about the disc but why the discs are degenerating in the first place, which is typically spinal instability and that is what Comprhensive Prolotherapy addresses. One shot of stem cells into a disc is not comprehensive Prolotherapy. Must address the cause and not just the result. There are some people who re-injure an area, but in most cases, Prolotherapy has the potential to be a long-term solution. Also, each patient is unique and if you wanted to discuss more about your specific case with a specialist, we would be happy to see you as a patient for a consultation. You can email us directly through our website or CaringMedical.com. Wish you all the best.

    Hey Dr hauser! I want to have a prolotherapy treatment 😊
    So have questions to ask before doing prolotherapy
    So
    After doing the complete treatment for prolotherapy, will the clicking and popping sound go away in that area that is going be treated?
    Since prolotherapy repairs soft tissue like ligaments, and the clicking & popping sound are due to joint instability as the ligaments are loose.
    Therefore
    So am i right to say once we complete our prolotherapy treatment, the ligament and soft tissue will be recovered and thus the click & popping sound will be eliminated?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад

      Hi Gift Gg, Good question, and that is one of the signs of instability that is typically improved. Some people can have popping of a joint but there is not symptomatic instability, such as a gymnast who might pop a joint but there is no pain or limitation. So, it all has to be part of the larger picture when it comes to the assessment. We also look at the joint under ultrasound to see the movement, do various physical exam tests, take measurements of the range of motion, etc. But yes, the clicking and grinding is part of the overall assessment for joint stability and one we see improve through the Prolotherapy series.

      @@Artwithnam no I didn’t get any relief. I actually got way worse, after about 7 treatments I stopped…even though the practitioner encouraged me to keep coming. I knew it wasn’t for me. After having high hopes and spending all that money the treatments just made my Sciatica worse. For months after I was so sore but finally I resolved my self to this is my life. Then last March I started intermittent fasting and lowering my carbs, not for sciatica but for another reason. Within one week I started to notice a decrease in the pain and it was a consistent decrease in pain. The pain has gone from a 6 to 8 out of 10, to a 0 to 2 out of 10 and I’ve been like that for months…it’s made me so happy. I know it was the intermittent fasting/low carb because the last few weeks I have relaxed on this way of eating and I have been starting to feel sore again. So I’m back on my way of eating…it’s so worthwhile for me.
