I never thought I’d ship Fangs with anybody but the way he is with Midge is beyond cute. Any other story would’ve had him pissed she showed up to the gig when he told her not to go or to be distracted by his fan girls but he only has eyes for Midge and was so happy she was there for him ❤
Kinda makes me feel sorry for him with Toni. She’s clearly not even a little bit in love with him. I think he has more feelings for her than she him but he’s not in love with her either. Seeing him capable of really being in love, even more than the feelings he had for Kevin, you can see he has that capacity.

Regarding this season so far, I feel the same! I wish this was some sort of spinoff because it doesn't feel like a series ending and I am actually enjoying it a lot. The characters have way better personalities idk
I feel like an entire season in the 50's would have been a good penultimate season... i mean this season has been good but i'd need a season 8 after this.
i just feel for a final season we should be seeing recurring characters come back for the final season like :
- FP
- Sweetpea
- Josie
- Archie's army friend
etc
i feel like we're getting robbed for a 50's season which doesn't play into any of the main timeline

This Cheryl is really defrent the Cheryl we know would have had a meltdown if she found out kiven was invited but not her this is the Cheryl Toni wanted her to be in the present times
Cheryl has always had a kind of prudish streak, just like Penelope she has the capacity to be either “slutty” or a prude. I think 50’s Cheryl doesn’t have anyone, she’s much less connected to Julian than Jason and she’s been aware of her family’s shortcomings for longer.
@@henrysteamy5012 there are a few stories about Jason being kind to Cheryl, like the time he insisted they combine their birthdays so she could feel like she had friends. Alice is the worst judge of character, she thinks Archie is a pervert. Jason challenged their father and family which makes me think he found their morals deplorable. But yeah, it’s possible Cheryl made up those memories. Everyone did witness how close they were however, and Julian does not show that. I can’t remember what happened about the allegation that Jason wrote about women he slept with in that play book that was being passed around, but I thought they decided he didn’t actually participate. Ultimately though the only thing we know is that he and Cheryl were best friends and cared for each other.

And I think the characters in the 50s are just them trying to understand themselves more and what they want subconsciously, and I love that bc u can see their growth
