Squeak is one of the cutest porcupette ever! Whatever she has against the Hedgehog, it cuts deep 😅 With all the stuffies lined up with food all around, Squeak still goes after the Hedgehog 😂 Ummm, yummy, pumpkin…stem?! 🤭
Oh, Squeak...Halloween is my birthday and my favorite holiday. You have all the perfect toys to play with, including those little tealights. Such a special little group of goodies for you!
What a marvelous party. She investigates but always finds her "teddy porcupette." Such love for her teddy!♥Pumpkin smells good but it should be sliced like sweet potato. She is growing into a beautiful young lady. She uses her tail well. 🎃 Oh so lovely.♥♥♥
Once roasted, I find pumpkin and sweet potato taste very similar. I don't know if uncooked pumpkin and raw sweet potato have much in common other than color.
Don't ya just wanna put that purple hat on her?! She might sneeze at you though!! Squeak likes hats, nuts in ghoulish skulls and eating pumpkin for Halloween. Good to hold off on the yucky acorns, though, lol. I love seeing the closeups of her face. How nice of you to throw her a party. I see Roly Poly banished to the back corner - she may still be disgusted with him after the other day. She does have her favorite toys after all, with Teddy in the lead! She seemed to enjoy her party very much!!!
I would love to put the hat on her, but she just isn't as ok with wearing a hat as Spike or Chonkers. However, we do have a short video of Spike wearing the same hat last year (back when she was a baby): ruclips.net/user/shortsqUXrTZWE9yA
@@Forest_Friend Thank you so much for the link! I just watched it and Spike is so adorable in it. I see what you mean, lol. Yes, Spunky Squeak has her own specific boundaries for sure :).
Awesome Halloween party squeak. Can't wait to see what your 🎃 looks like when you are done carving. What a lucky porcupine you are. You sure didn't like your stuffy wearing that hat.😂
What a cruel joke nature has played. So cute you want to pick them up and snuggle. But we know that would result in a trip to the hospital, or at least to the tool box for a good pair of pliers. OUCH.
Squeak doesn't seem cool with the idea of wearing hats. Both her parents will occasionally let us put a hat on them. Here's a short of her mom, Spike, when she was a baby last year, wearing the same witch's hat: ruclips.net/user/shortsqUXrTZWE9yA
Thank you for all you do for all of little animal friends !!!!!!! So cute happy Halloween squeak 🎃🎃🎃🎃 my husband spoils are squirrels and birds they are so spoiled it's unreal 😂😂😂😂😂 but got to love the wild life sometimes they need our help ❤❤❤❤❤
That party looked like a banger. See how good? It raises so many questions for me! What are the names of the friends in attendance there? Do porcupines unsheathe the top layers of their claws like cats do when they give themselves oral manicures and pedicures? I would have loved to attend. What happened to my invitation? Sorry I was late but I thoroughly enjoyed the footage of this party. Squeak is a one-man party! That’s what I used to call an old classmate named Artie. It worked better with his name. (I’m working on my Squeaky Miss Congeniality costume. I tried to convince my godchild to dress up as Ray Gun but the eyeroll I got in reply was so pronounced that it was essentially audible.) Thanks so much! Happy Weekend, Canada! I certainly don’t expect any answers to these questions. It was just fun to ask them.
The only toy that really has a name is Teddy (the stuffed porcupine holding a heart). We sometimes refer to them as Pumpkin or Roly-Poly (not featured in this video), poor Candy Corn plushie doesn't really get talked about much as Squeak plays with it the least. The claws are always out, they don't retract. But they can adjust the angle of their quills and there are muscles tied to that which can make it easier for the quills to come out if the pointy end goes into something. They can't shoot them, but it's still a very good defense. Also, our aplogies that your invitation didn't get to you. We shouldn't have left Squeak in charge of sending out invites.
@Forest_Friend 🤣🤣🤣 Poor Candy Corn. Fortunately the lack of attention has not seemed to dampen that sweet smile on her face. Thanks bunches for this here. 🙏🏾
I think it was great that she really enjoyed the pumpkin......i think maybe try her on raw butternut squash or acorn squash.....both are the same consistency as pumpkin
Squeak really believed and was disappointed to learn that there really isn't any Treat (or CASH $$$) hidden inside the stuffie. AND What Kind of Halloween Party is it without any Candy!?!! Hoomans are failing Poor Squeak again!!! 😮💨
Someone dropped a dime and the Feds are looking into whether the hoomans are providing Squeak and Spike with group medical insurance, paying for their unemployment insurance and posting the Privacy Act in their workplace... 🥰
Was Spike outside during this? I'm amazed she doesn't mind you and Squeak being alone! I guess porcupines really can be quite docile and trusting, at least the North American ones anyway.
Squeak usually visits on her own. Spike brought her the first few times, and they still sometimes show up together. They'll also call out to each other. If Spike decides she's leaving, she calls out as she walks away and Squeak goes into turbo mode to catch up (also calling back to her mom).
@@Forest_Friend Is Squeak okay on her own? I learnt that porcupines stay with their parents until around 5-6 months, so maybe she is, but she's still so small and doesn't have as many big quills yet. I worry that she'll be caught by a predator even though most don't tend to prey on porcupines. Hopefully Squeak stays safe and managed to grow up into a big, healthy6 porcupine!
@@bestrafung2754 From what I can tell, the babies spend a lot of time on their own (not just Squeak). I've read that at 2 weeks a baby porcupine can survive without their mother (although, certainly not ideal). Last time I saw Quilbert, she did have Walnut (probably her baby) with her. But last night while we did see Chestnut and Hazelnut (again, probably her baby) they weren't around at the same time. They're probably still meeting up, but they don't seem to spend all their time together. We see Pip almost every night but only see his mom, Prickly, maybe once a week. Honestly, it's what made it so hard to match the baby to mom. I had to go through a calendar and noticed all the moms (except Spike) increased their visits, took two weeks off, and then increased visits again, followed by eventually meeting a baby. Spike only disappeared for 3 days, and brought Squeak with her when she was about a week and a half. As for predators, we did have issues about a month ago with raccoons but Squeak's now big enough that they no longer seem to think she'd be tasty. One of them tried to snatch her from between my feet, so she was escorted into the house. Shortly after, Spike disappeared with Squeak for about a week. Also, Pokey and Chestnut both had a brush with the raccoons, so it seems they're going to be a lot more cautious around the porcupines now. Other predators would be a lot rarer for us. We do occasionally see a bear or bobcat but that doesn't even happen every year, and I think both would find better options to eat than Squeak if they did wander by. A bear would probably be more excited for the peanuts, and bobcats mostly eat hares. I definitely don't want our hares to get eaten either, but I do feel like Squeak is relatively safe from any wandering bobcats. (And for reference, I think we've only had maybe 3 sightings of bobcats spread over 15 years, so our hares are probably pretty safe from them too.)
She is the most spoiled and enriched porcupine in history. This is so adorable.
