They are just like the brook trout here in the USA. The brook trout despite their name are also a char species, so the similarities make sense. They're so similar, so delicate and beautiful. Yet they're both distinct in just as many ways. This was so nice to watch.

Thanks for watching. This is an iwana (white spotted char) from the northern part of Japan. I recommend this fishing in the hot summer of Japan.
