  • First Fall Season Living in this Old Home (Part one ). Dividing this video into 2 or 3 parts because we still have warmer days here in Japan. And the preparation for cooler days has just started. In this video, I'm sharing what I do to our garden plants. There are still more things to do and that is for our next videos. We are experiencing struggles living in this old home. And it is affecting us especially for the coming colder fall and winter seasons. These struggles are adding to my anxiety.

Hello there! I recently found your RUclips channel and I must say, I have enjoyed watching every video you have posted. I truly admire you for taking such good care of your husband and fully tending to everything else in your beautiful countryside home. You are a good example to others. Take care and keep those videos coming.

You motivate me to care more for my garden. I love that you are learning again how to write in a different language. I only know one language but I do read music. I learned as a child and still read fluently today. I also love the music you choose.
Thank you for teaching me how to care for my plants better and grow new ones!🌸 Christina

Lovely video, great work doing all the propagation. I have grown many of the same plants as you do. I admire how you have adapted to Japanese and way of life. Xx

Hello Grace , I realised a while ago that I needed to re- learn writing and reading Greek which uses its own alphabet. But it came back easily since it's not so difficult. I learned ancient Greek at school with Latin and English of course . A bit of Arabic too for 2 years while living in Morocco . Nowadays only English is fluent ! LOL. Good for brains to try and re learn new languages or new skills . Have a good weekend 😊🌺🍄

Thanks for watching, Marie. Arabic writing is very interesting. I used to watch arabic lesson on Japanese NHK TV. Yes, writing is very therapeutic and good for the brains, too.

    Hello Grace 🙂
Autumn is a busy time I see. I have ponds with 2 turtles (each one has their own because they don’t get along) and I have a fish pond too…small ones that I keep small fish In to eat mosquitos. I heard that citronella plant is also good for mosquito control but I haven’t found the plant yet. 🤔 I have a planting tent like you-my brother got one and ended up not wanting it so I plan to plant some vegetables in it since winter for us is rainy season so it will protect the plants from too much rain. Hope you’re doing well and I look forward to seeing you again! Sending you warm thoughts and powerful prayers my friend ❤

Hello Francine, I'm well and I hope you're, too. My husband had to see a dentist but since he is taking that meds for blood, the dentist refered us to a University Hospital in the city. Busy week for me because I have to drive here and there. But I'm well, of course. Thanks for the comment, Francine. I love turtles. I can imagine how nice your place is. Thanks for the prayers. Mine for you and your family. - GraceXx

@@livingwithgraceinjapan it was busy with doctors for me as well but I’m glad I got it done! I don’t like dentist but I go twice a year because it’s so important 😐 but I’m thankful I have good medical and dental insurance. That helps me to keep my appointments 🙂 Thank you for sharing your time with us …I know time is short on most days as a caregiver and you bring hope to many. ❤️

Hi Grace, your resilience is inspiring. I’ve also enjoyed the music tracks that you use for your videos. Who is the singer? Her words resonate so much as they seem to convey your thoughts.
