I gave it a shot myself. Perhaps I worked for the wrong contractor. When they told me I would just have to figure it out and do like other drivers do and bring a bottle to pee in and I would have to eat between stops I said no. I am not going to lower myself to urinating in the back of the truck. I drove a 1000/120 stops/20+ an hour average and spread out stops and very hilly.
I started saying no when they ask for help, I have a life outside of work and newborn at home.. I don’t run 30 stops per hour to help other drivers…plus you don’t get payed more if another driver needs help
Question: do you ever feel frustrated at your station's package handlers and their performance? We have some horrible package handlers at our station . They do more harm than good.
Every single day 🤣 if I don’t go through my truck with a fine tooth comb during my sort I would for sure miss stuff. Rule #1 as a sorter should be “never put a small package behind a large one.” They do this CONSTANTLY and it makes life so much more difficult than it needs to be
I figure the sorters' mistakes cost me at least half an hours' worth of time per day. Multiply that by 100 drivers per station, roughly, and that is 3000 minutes per day, or 50 hours, translating to at least 1200 dollars. But apparently that is pocket change to a station (??) - because they don't do ANYTHING to make sure the loaders do a decent job. I also work for Amazon, and in the 2 years I have worked there, I think I have literally found FIVE TO TEN mistakes that were caused directly by the employees who load the totes and the overflow onto the carts. In two years. ... It is not out of the ordinary to find five loaders' mistakes in ONE DAY at FedEx. ... yeah; and people wonder why Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world or almost. He is doing something right to make sure that MF'er runs like clockwork!
I have heard about it. I have no clue what it actually means for us haha I heard that a station up in northern utah already made the merge and 47 express drivers quit because they lost their benefits. Could just be a rumor but I don’t like the sound of that haha
We're moving into our brand new building down here in Savannah,GA in June. And express is joining, but the set of the operations is separate. It's a massive building so we each will have our own load and unload areas. With express down sizing and handling only over night packages and ground absorbing the rest of the packages.
delivery_pro_army I have some ideas for some video/vlog content for you.. as I am a fedex ground driver myself located in MN. Looking to create something that would help out drivers new and current.
I think you did the right thing man. In this line of work you always wanna leverage the best deal possible for yourself

They pay us per stop for helping. Still not usually worth it
@@Deliveryprosthey pay us 1$ extra per stop after 175 stops..if you have 130 for the day and help with 20 stops it’s not worth it at all
@@aveenc ya I’d tell em to pay me per helped stop or go pound sand 😂

Love the videos man
Love your vlogs , and yes bring back the insta. Also how do I preorder a delivery pro sweatshirt?
I’ll look into it haha I’ve got a guy who can make them. Just gotta work out the logistics
Actually, question for you. What would you pay for one? Is $50 too much? How much would you pay for a shirt? $20?
@@Deliverypros I think 40-50 is reasonable for a sweatshirt and 20 is a good price for a shirt depending on quality.
Do you do pick ups on this route. Wouldn’t mind seeing the new pick ups. Vid. Schedule pick up part 2
No pickups! One of the benefits of this route is that I am done before 2 most days and I get to just be done.
