Your pedal sounds really cool, but he most amazing thing about this video is how you just play or even improvise all those licks, riffs and scales with such great precision and expression without even making any mistakes! You rock!!! 🤘🔥 🎸
A good multi effects pedal is like an idea machine. I have had an old BOSS GT-6 for years. I would be lost without it. I do wish it had a looper on it though. Always great seeing you groove out man!
It sure is PV!!:) I had a Zoom pedal in the early 2000s and I remember playing like 10 hours the first day as I hadn't used effects before! One thing I rarely do it play through my amp, I want to start some fun jams again with the looper, they are fun, you'd love it and make some awesome grooves! Thanks for watching man
Ah thank you very much!! Appreciated :) yeah, this sure is an awesome pedal. Once you start entering in different/custom patches it is really fun. Super well priced too for what you get! Cheers :) \m/
Thank you so very much!! :) Great to hear this :) Gary Moore is my fav player of all time, he's the reason I started playing - I was lucky enough to see him live in 2006 wth BB King :) cheers!
Great playing and review! This pedal offers so much for the price, people often overlook it because of it's price. If you learn how to program this little gem, you can squeeze out great tones from clean to high gain. Just make sure the cab has its mic on, otherwise it may not sound it's best. My favorite all rounder cab: Bogner (BGN) and favorite clean either the Fender Twin, Bogner low setting and favorite high gain Bogner Ecstasy and Diezel VH4 (super versatile and lots of options to tweak, can't go wrong with this one and a OD pedal). THe overdrive pedals and effects are really good, including the pitch shifter (turn value, balance and volume to 10). You also get a 30 second looper and drum machine that are super handy to record demos and ideas on your phone. Also you can power it by USB power bank or a cell phone charger if you don't have the 9v wall adapter.
Thank you so much! Yes, totally agree, an amazing price for so much. You can get absolutely brilliant tones out of this. I also have a Digitech DS7 distortion factory which as some amazing tones for a decent price, but this tops it I feel :) - no way? I didn't know that you can just power it with a USB wall charger! That is awesome! Thanks for sharing this, I am not completely familiar with creating my own sounds - the Slash, Gary Moore, Vai etc I search for the patch information. I want to try and get a BB King blues tone, SRV, and Nuno, and I know it is all possible with this. When I used to play live (years ago!) I just had Marshall amp with footswitch so I never got really into pedals. However, I do have an Ibanez Weeping Demon Wah pedal which is cool !:) Thanks for the comment!:)
Hello Choey, I discovered your channel and your demo is great. I love the effect that follows in this video, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 11, Wow wah wah. In fact, there are plenty of them that I like. The ZOOM is very good and you know how to play the guitar really well. Thank you for your demo. I subscribe to you. My regards from France. Like 32
Hey JC!:) Thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed!:) Much appreciated my friend! Oh yes, there are many great effects on this ZOOM pedal, more than I will ever use!:) Thanks for watching!:) Regards from New Zealand :)
Great review, I've always been impressed by the amount of great tones available in units like this, but I can't seem to wrap my head around them, I've always been a stompbox guy, clicking a button is easier for me
Yes, me too haha - there are way too many effects than I will ever use, and programming them all in becomes challenging, and takes time away from playing. I just love a classic drive tone with a Les Paul and I'm set! Fun to play around with this though, and so impressive how there is so many awesome tones for so cheap!
I’ve got a really old zoom effects thing I was trying to find it for my last video ya know that setting that plays octave higher note man I needed that couldn’t find my wire though lol 😂
Much better factory presets for under $100 U.S. than my expensive Helix floor from what you showcased Choey, Had a Zoom something or other years ago got a lot KOOL sounds. I'm sure it's tweakable and you can get ALL kind of good sounds. KOOL video !!!
Thank you so much!:) Oh yes, it is able to be endlessly tweaked - I am not exactly sure of all of the settings to alter the tones and create my won patches as I've never been massively into large pedal boards (so I don't really know the order of pedals etc) but man there is so much that can be done! Thanks!:)
I know right! The Les Paul Custom I'm using cost me around $550 NZD in total (I also purchased the Seymour Duncan's used), so a whole lot of tone for not much money! I'd love a Gibson Custom, but 10x the price... I wonder how different it would sound
Hello Choey. Very interesting review my friend 👍. Very helpfull. Maybe one day I will get such a pedal like this. I was not a lot on YT those last days cause I got Covid. It's better and better and will soon have more time to listen to others videos and specialy yours. I will need some time to get a clean voice again. Or maybe I should use a covid voice as a new style ha ha ! Have a great day and take care of you. ^^
Sorry to hear you are unwell, and I really hope you get better soon! But yes, maybe you could cover a song with a raspy voice and discover a new style :D that happened to me once, and I liked it, but then my vocals healed and I couldn't produce the rasp anymore haha! Thanks for watching man, and rest up :)
Thanks for this review, it's awesome❤💯, but please I have been experiencing an Issue with my new g1x four zoom multi effects pedal. Whenever I use it with headphones it sounds perfect without any background noises, but once I take it out for a live gig where I have to connect it to a mixer, I notice that it makes some little background noises which become noticeable when I play alone without other instruments playing. What can I do to resolve this issue?
Hey! Thanks, and glad you enjoyed! Background noises? So - when you are running it through a mixer, are you running it through a live amp or is this through your DAW (like, into a laptop and running effects through Ableton or Protools) ...? I have background noise if I do not run the pedal through an amp sim or cab (in my DAW) - when I run it through an amp it sounds fine. Are your background noises like feedback, or buzzing? Are you using single coil pickups?
@@CHOEYGMUSIC yh, this is the connection, from my effects pedal, to a mixer which is equalized and connected to an amplifier, then to the speakers and yes, I'm using a stratocaster with three single coils. What do you think could be the problem, cuz I've used the same guitar with another effects pedal(ge100) and it was better so I'm wondering if It's my settings.
@@ethereal1000 why are you running through a mixer before your amp? I wonder if it is the mixer causing the issues - strats tend to buzz a lot, single coils are very noisy, and I would guess it gets more noisy with more driven effects. You could try a noisegate? I get quite a bit of buzz with some of the settings on this pedal, particularly the golddrive, I roll off the gain and control with volume knob but it isn't perfect
B"H In your hands... that is some set up. You sound amazing bro. Do like Jimmy Page and record something with multiple guitar parts like a guitar army. May G-d bless you and your loved ones always and forever.
Still trying to get someone to tell me the difference between the G1X Four (which I have) and the A1X Four..they look exactly the same.. good playing by the way
Hey!:) Thank you so much!:) To my understanding, the A1X four is for acoustic guitars? The B1X is for bass, a G for guitars. I could be wrong though? They look identical. Do you have the same presents as this one? They're probably all the same haha
That is a great pedal you have!!:) Yep, this one sure does have a lot, I only use 2-3 of them haha. Always fun to jam out with though!:) Cheers Lunar :)
This is interesting to hear - were you running through an amp or through your DAW? If running through your DAW I might have a few tips as for me it was sounding awful at first too! Overall I think it is pretty good, even though I'm not too big on effects. Cheers!
Your pedal sounds really cool, but he most amazing thing about this video is how you just play or even improvise all those licks, riffs and scales with such great precision and expression without even making any mistakes! You rock!!! 🤘🔥 🎸
Ah thank you so very much!! So glad you enjoyed this pedal demo and I really appreciate the complements on my playing!!:) You rock!!
Classic cool Choey G review. There were some awesome sounds you pulled out. Great job! I LOVE watching your eyes processing so much emotion!
Thank you so very much Sally! This is awesome!!:)
The acoustic effect is surprisingly very good for such a small processor.
I agree man! :) I have used this in some songs before and think it sounded great :) cheers dude!
All of them are great tones! Great review!
Thank you very much CC :)

sick review, your tone is great, i bought this and was skeptical, but this video has made me realise this multi fx pedal is sick
Ah thank you very much!! Appreciated :) yeah, this sure is an awesome pedal. Once you start entering in different/custom patches it is really fun. Super well priced too for what you get! Cheers :) \m/
@@CHOEYGMUSIC hehe, yeah i tested it out and it's sick, thanks again for the great review, have a nice day!!

I have subscribed as a thank you for your performance.
Oh great! Thank you so much - appreciated :) glad you enjoyed!:)

That's a cool pedal! Sounds really good. That Hot Spice setting sounds very interesting. 😆
Thank you so much Kevin! Haha yes it sure does! I am unsure when I'd ever use it, maybe I should do a solo with the strangest tones haha!

Why you have your treble turned down so much and bass up sounds terrible.
Fair assessment! Running through ableton live lite cabs to that could contribute - I have bass mid and treble set to halfway for and even sound test
