Forest has been saying get_right for as long as I can remember. Pretty sure get_right would pick forest too. Their friendship and mutual respect are really amazing.

I remember F0rest being mentioned in Guiness Book of World Records and mentioned in so many articles back in the day. Whenever I think of the best pc players of all time, F0rest stands out as the icon of shooters and should be heralded as such. F0rest is the GOAT 🐐

I really appreciate your list, Fallen to me is the best player of all time, not as a stat but as a combination of IGL, frags, motivation and a leader outside of the match, he did so much, for a place that was not on the radar at all.

It’s true that the game has come a long way and that it means more to be the best in the world now, then what it meant 15 years ago. That’s why I would put s1mple as the goat, but if you look at it from a different perspective then it’s f0rest
I think its also easier to say f0rest now and in 5 years, if s1mple keeps his level, s1mple will be. S1mple is not that deep into his carreer
Idk, as good as he is, forest was never as good or as consistent in csgo as get_right was at the end of the day. If you consider all of counterstrike then I'd say forest for sure.

Potti was top 3, Heaton was top 4 and Markeloff was top 5 so we should talk about potti and heaton first. But markeloff was the greatest awper tho

F0rest is the GOAT player who meets the standard of this word for many people, including professional players and amateurs, he has been famous all this time for his consistency, amazing moments delivered from all cs version. S1mple is the best player in CSGO for now. He has amazing talent and skills and laser focus on CSGo. I would argue that back in time if F0rest has the same training environment as today, he can also deliver the same skills as s1mple. But for F0rest, the best player is probably not a pure rifler but more towards someone who plays tactile for the team. This person may sacrifice a lot in personal data but his influence in game and the fear he creates in his enemies head can be more qualified for his standard for No1 in the world. So everyone answer the question based on his own experience in this game. Still glad to have them all for all CSgo believers.
To me f0rest will always be the GOAT. Greatest player of all time and he's still fighting for it even if it's on a lower level nowadays. I don't think CSGO has one GOAT-player since it has had so many strong teams and players. NiP is obviously up there. Fnatic, Astralis, Luminosity/SK and Na'Vi. 5 years from now we can answer who was the GOAT of CSGO :)

@@Tankt0ptig3r Stupid comparison since games and sports are two different things. CSGO is a version of CS, not it's own thing. In sports you look at their achievements and see who has achieved most. In CS and gaming in general there are different eras of pro players so it's completely impossible to say who is the greatest of all time since it changes regularly and the game in this case has had 8 different versions even though some of them were around for only short periods. To me it's extremely inaccurate to call s1mple the GOAT since he and Navi's streak has started pretty recent. f0rest for example has been around since 2004 (ish) and he has been on a top level during all of it. No one else (so far) can say that.

@@SahucMcOffer Get_Right played good more recently than Forest LOL. Are you guys even following the scene? Forest was only great in CSGO in 2012-2014 (during that time Get_Right was the GOAT in CSGO), then he played decent until 2016, while Get_Right was still top 15 player and main carry in NIP.
@@markanderson2925 Bro i mean after 2016... Get_Right was nowhere near as good as before when he was 2x top 1 in a row, but f0rest was somewhat decent. Ofc he is not for tier 1 anymore, but he can still pop some heads easily, even top frag a game, but get right was seriously underperforming for the past 3 years as far as i know. Doesn't even play anymore.
@@SahucMcOffer You are right, but this discussion is for GOAT and like I said Get_Right is both top 5 in CS 1.6 (probably 5th after Neo, Forest, Markeloff and Potti/Heaton), as well as top 5 in CSGO (and he was THE GOAT for the first half of CSGO).
If Forest played average CS for top pro during last 3 years he does not get any points for the GOAT debate status.

Just like s1mple, Neo too didn't had superstars in his team. S1mple atleast is able to change teammates, NEO didn't have that priviledge as the polish scene was weak.
Forest had Get right, gux in 2009 major win. He got tentpole in 2006 . He got get right delpan in 2011. EVery name I mentioned were top 10 in respective years. Get right was all time top 5 in cs 1.6.
Neo had no one like that.
Just like s1mple he carried his team. Just like s1mple he was top 5-10 years after years.

If s1mple win 2-3 more major with current line up. He surpasses NEO otherwisw NEO still is undisputed no 1.

Ahhah guys look what i have written in my comment i said that for now is s1mple and i said that is strange to say who is the goat cuz back in the past the game was different and there weren’t so many pro teams like nowadays?!
It is always hard to say who the best is, because time changes a lot, but the game knowledge and skill s1mple has developed stands on the foundation of players like GR and F0rest. Without the further generation, he would not be nearly as good as he is right now. Its the same in every sport.
Said that, every player has his time when he can shine. With the age of 21-23, humans reach their peak (after that point, reflexes, mechanics, the body and brain get worse).
Now look at F0rest, 33 years old and still able to compete. If simple is still able to compete among the best during the next 10-15 years, he is worthy taking that crown.

Since the overall level of the game has increased so much, I don't think you can weigh 1.6 quite as much as most of these takes
1.6 required even more skill and knowledge than GO imo. The walls were made of paper so with enough game knowledge you could do some crazy shit that you dont really see in GO. Although I do think that GO is more competetive and more teams can dominante due to many game changing metas and updates.
