    Some 737NG aircraft do not have auto ignition systems requiring the use of the CONT during all takeoffs and landings regardless of weather conditions. The Zibo mod does come equipped with the auto ignition option, and therefore it is not necessary to switch these to CONT during normal operations. However, icing on the ground, moderate to heavy rain, hail or sleet would require the use of the ignition in CONT mode even with an auto ignition equipped aircraft. FlightDeck2Sim, a real world 737 pilot, flies for an airline who's 737NG's do not have that option equipped hence we see him switch them in his streams.

    How did you save the flight between episodes so that you can start off where you left off in the previous episode? I watched all your previous episodes and took immense time to setup the FMC then saved the flight. When I reloaded the flight it was in the cold and dark state and none of my previous checklists or FMC setups were saved or performed.

    • @FlyBySimulations
      @FlyBySimulations  3 года назад

      Hey there, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your progress like that. I guess I should have been a bit more clear about my recording process. You see, there's no real way to save the exact state your aircraft was in before shutting the simulator down (like a quick-save or autosave function in conventional video games). The way I recorded these was a mixture of painful re-recordings where I would start the entire flight from scratch for each episode and come to the exact phase of flight when I needed to start filming and also a bit of recording multiple episodes in one flight. The full flight is basically 1 flight divided into different parts to make the episodes manageable in length for the viewers, hence some episodes just come from one flight. I'm sorry if that's the not the answer you wanted to hear, but unfortunately, I highly doubt that X-plane 11 or any simulator for that matter has a feature wherein you can save the exact state of the particular flight you were flying and return to it later on. Hopefully you still found the content to be useful. If you did, please consider liking the videos and maybe subscribing to the channel as well:) Also, I've started an Aircraft Dissected series to now cover the Airbus A320 as well. You can find that playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLstDeuw1VKqXBcS7PRqzkaHNdchstKcgr Currently, 2 episodes have been uploaded so far. More will be coming shortly! :)

    Great video as always, just a small correction. "Engine start levers" are not the Thrust Levers, it is instead the two levers below them that introuduce fuel to the engines and can be in either the idle or cutoff position.
