One of my all time favorite songs!! This is a “Part 2” of “Charlotte the Harlot” from the 1st Iron Maiden album about a, cough cough, lady of the night...
When I moved to London and bought an AtoZ, the first thing I did was look up Acacia Ave. Thankfully there was no entry with an East London postcode, or I may have caused some offence........
1984 World Peace tour Eastern Europe, first band to do so. Poland just got their Independence, from their Russian iron curtain masters. to the rest of the world, it was known as the "Worlds Savery", a 3 year tour supporting their "Powerslave" album..
To really appreciate the situation the crowd is in you need to google the iron curtain! For many of those guys it was there 1st time seeing a band before! Captured an amazing moment in time for sure!
this is taken from their first journey through communist's countries Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia... people was like "hell yeah Iron Maiden , western Metal band "🤘🤘🤘
Everything is shown from Poland :) and the concert in Katowice Spodek Arena. The band was looking for alcohol at night and they didn't buy anywhere because everything was closed and they went to some Polish wedding :) there is a video on You Tube ,,, Iron Maiden at a Polish wedding
After the show they ended up at someone’s wedding party, Bruce was pissed and he was asked about electric keyboards in a heavy metal band and he said never, then they did somewhere in time and seventh son!!!!!!
I was 14 in 1984 and Iron Maiden came to Halifax NS Canada with Twisted Sister and wow what a show!!!! NIcko McBrain was a huge reason for me learning to play drums (Where Eagles Dare was the first metal song I had ever heard and blew my friggin mind!) well him Lars Ulrich and Scott Rockenfield from Queensryche (check out the album The Warning)...
Love your reactions to these videos! I treasure all that I got and still have on vhs tape! (Wicked videos will always be what badass metal is to me. Dark ad intense, gives me strength, when I'm alone, I love that!) 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 You both feel that blast of energy from each band. I get that incredible anticipation before a concert, from the day before the show; it justs builds up
Spiritism explains the Direct Writings by Spirits. Maybe we are the first Spiritist band of Pop-Metal Rock.. Check out our sound and lyrics. But don't pay much attention to our rustic English, hahahaha 😁
thewolfhunterz To really appreciate Bruce Dickinson, you must be aware that between his younger days and his older performances, he survived a throat cancer. It is amazing that he is still able to nail it considering this.
I love it that you went back to the 80's in what was considered Maiden's golden era!! Something from Live after Death would be awesome! Revelations or Flight of Icarus. Awesome!!!
See Poland during the communist times. There is an interesting story.. - Iron Maiden At A Polish Wedding. In 1984, Iron Maiden played for over 100 wedding guests. They had nowhere to drink, there were few clubs then, and they ended up at the wedding, where they played and drank :) The lucky young couple. There is a recording of it .
Yes , Maiden is bettert live than studio most times .. but not this time ! Specially if you introduce yourself to them . Pick more wisely ! I love your reaction's!
Very good reaction. But the best video to react to this issue was Iron Maiden - 22 Acacia Avenue (Live Hammersmith 1982) HD in what was perhaps its best moment in its unbeatable history. In the same way the reaction is very good. Thanks.
On Iron Maiden's first, self-titled album, there is a track called Charlotte the Harlot. This song is the next part of that "continuing saga". This is a great song. Personally though, I think Bruce's voice went through a phase where it sounded like it was really straining, probably the result of the extensive World Slavery Tour. His voice really struggles on the Live After Death album too, in my humble opinion. All that being said, I'm a huge Maiden and Bruce fan. Up the irons!!!
How great was it that this band, could fill stadiums like LBA for what 4 nights, and they went to very sketchy places that NO BAND would play for the fans. My fave hard rock band? Iron Maiden. Scream for me........
I haven't seen this less of views since before The Waning. I tried to donate but was unable too but luv u. The Warning is working on some fuckin amazing songs can't wait for a reaction. I've heard them but I'm not spoiling anything. Suzy ur hair looks amazing.
I'd love to know how a music video is "HD" when it was clearly shot in with an early 80s SD camcorder? If it was shot on film then remastered in HD from a print that's another story.
I almost started to cry seeing the happiness and expectations of those in communist Poland waiting to see them... I can relate to them easily, I´m from Czech (equally fucked up country) Up the Irons and death to communism! Music was the only thing people here had at those dark times (music bought at black markets... ;)
Interestingly enough, I thought this was his worst live vocals that I've heard to date. He was sharp on all of his high notes (if you compare it to the studio version). He was (and still is) hot AF and super talented. And the music? Man oh man. /m\
First time seeing this particular song performed during this time period, but I agree on this. He sounded tired on a lot of the videos I've seen from this period no doubt due to relentless touring for Powerslave. His performance of 22 at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1982 is incredible, though.
You guys are great, I always enjoy your reactions! You should check out the newest Tom Macdonald video 'no good bastards' I think you will appreciate it. Stay up, stay strong, and stay healthy.
Awesome reaction as always!but you guys need to do some new EVERGREY!!they just released their new album escape of the Phoenix!!just press play, the whole album is good!
If i am honest, Bruce Dickinson sound nowadays way better than this. Compare this to Rock In Rio or Live at Ullevi 2005 then you can tell the difference.
great song, i have to say this is the worst version of it, bruce mustve been tired or sick cause he didnt go high in some notes he used too in this song
I swear I say it with regret but this version is terrible, like that whole tour. Anyone who knows the original understands it. in just 2 years after joining Maiden, Dickinson's voice was no longer the same, she recovered part of it many years later. Even instrumentally here they are limp. You have to listen to the 1982 versions...
One of my all time favorite songs!! This is a “Part 2” of “Charlotte the Harlot” from the 1st Iron Maiden album about a, cough cough, lady of the night...
I love Part 3 "hooks in you" its a great trilogy.
😮
@@jamiestidiford6684 what about “From Here to Eternity “? That’s the last song of charlotte.
Hooks in You is an awful song.
When I moved to London and bought an AtoZ, the first thing I did was look up Acacia Ave. Thankfully there was no entry with an East London postcode, or I may have caused some offence........
Rule #1. Don't ever pause a video during an epic guitar solo.
Not only during a solo, but during the song
That great guitar solo is from the "Powerslave" song.....
up the irons 🤘
Up the fking Irons \m/
Katowice is in Poland for those that are wondering
hugely underrated song. that riff is deadly. hopefully the cancel everything crew doesnt get hold of this song for the lyrics lol
One of their best songs. Completely overlooked for some reason
That is the guitar solo for the song “Powerslave”.

There is an interesting story from that tour - Iron Maiden At A Polish Wedding. You can see a video on youtube.
@@alcofgod4211 Oh yea I remember! I'm 42 been listening to Maiden since I was 13 haha
Yeah you need to do some of Paul Dianno's live performance with Iron Maiden...Paul sounds awesome... Like wrathchild...or phantom of the opera..
this is taken from their first journey through communist's countries Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia... people was like "hell yeah Iron Maiden , western Metal band "🤘🤘🤘

Paul Di Anno deserve at least one reaction from you, wratchild, this song are recorded by him.
Honestly Killers is still my favorite album, they did some other great albums but their was something about the album that I really love
The stuff with Bruce is so much better though.
Do Drifter with Paul on vocals 🤘🏻
Perhaps, but there's something just wrong about Bruce singing DiAnno stuff. Doesn't sound right. Like Dio singing Ozzy-era stuff.....no thanks.
@@21Piloteer I know I agree, what can you do
After the show they ended up at someone’s wedding party, Bruce was pissed and he was asked about electric keyboards in a heavy metal band and he said never, then they did somewhere in time and seventh son!!!!!!
@P Kos
Never make excuses, he said never and then they did - things change, so do people thoughts and feelings, and that’s ok.
that solo at the beginning is from powerslave
That was filmed in my home country Poland
Behind The Iron Curtain!!! Awesome
Oh yes Baby, my favourite Song :)

I learned this song in 1980, when it first came out, I was 13
I love it that you went back to the 80's in what was considered Maiden's golden era!! Something from Live after Death would be awesome! Revelations or Flight of Icarus. Awesome!!!
Fuck yeah, one of my favourite Maiden tunes
I love how a fan shared this piece. I love it!

this was during powerslave tours around the end so Bruce was very tired and pretty much done with shows
Excellent song about a brothel and a man who wants to save a prostitute. I am friends with the people who taught Bruce (Singer) to fly.
KENNETH did we grow up together?.. Up the Irons
A brand new one - YUNGBLUD & Avril Lavigne - I'm With You (Live from The Yungblud Show)

If i am honest, Bruce Dickinson sound nowadays way better than this. Compare this to Rock In Rio or Live at Ullevi 2005 then you can tell the difference.
this was around at the end of Powerslave tours so you can see how tired and done bruce was , the man needed a break
Hammersmith version is way better
