So childish of those people to cut down those trees. Can’t even have a little fun in nature anymore. Great to see you’re having so much fun on the old 185 though!!

I agree, so immature haha. If they put posted signs around it or a fence I wouldn't go in. I'm glad I got some hours in on the ts185 too it is a blast!

I used to laugh at those burbling, bad handling dumpster fires when they tried to take on my CR barrel equipped MT 125. Have you ever tried actually standing up on the pegs when riding?

Is that a direct bolt on the cr125 barrel, head and pipe? I've wondered about this and the MT 250?

    • @GoldGuyRides

Yeah I tried standing and didn't like it on this bike, the footpegs are way too small and I don't like how it handles. I stand up on my klx300 off-road.

@@sambananas4513 , Yes the barrel and piston was a bolt on job. Used the MT head, carbie, inlet and exhaust flange. I put an expansion chamber on it later but had to change the exhaust flange for a CR one as the header pipe is a smaller diameter. Also had to run on premix as the CR barrel didn't have the port for the oil pump system on the MT.I suppose I could have drilled and tapped one into it but I wasn't so sure that it would deliver enough oil for that barrel. The MT 250 was exactly the same and converting them made the MT's really good trailbikes. I even raced mine against RM125's and was always in the top 5. Laying down the shocks helped. Honda really dropped the ball on the MT series lacking power.

@@GoldGuyRides ..I feel your pain. Those things handled like a park bench. I remember they came out with rubber footpegs. Lol....

@@louisavondart9178 Wow, what excellent info, thanks for being able to share that valuable work. I am tired of these modern 4 stroke dual sports. I have thought the anemic MT would be perfect for the CR engines. I used to fly an RM125 around in the late 70's and loved it, hopefully an MT with updated CR engine parts and suspension will fill the bill. Many thanks!
