    #96 Omar Gaither makes an amazing block at the 40-yard line just as Jackson is picking up the ball. He somehow knocks out 3 giants that were sprinting down the middle of the field and creates the lane for Jackson who does the rest. Unsung hero of this play.

      Doesn't matter, after he catches it, the punt is on him. If it went over his head, and then dude f'd the punt, maybe. But he still caught it. Take an extra second to get footing if needed, but get that kick outta bounds

    • @flybackrs
      @flybackrs Год назад

      @@PlatinumJug that's not how punting works. Once you have to jump for a snap, your point of aim is thrown off and you can no longer punt directionally. Also take an extra second? And get blocked? Genius!

    As as native New Yorker, being from Harlem, and lifelong Giants fan, I was 12 years old when this happened... I remember watching this game from start to finish... I couldn’t believe what my eyes saw towards the end... this was one of the most gut wrenching and heartbreaking losses I’ve ever seen let alone as a Giants fan... we’ve had a lot of heartbreaking losses to Philly but this one was the one that just ripped our hearts out... we’ve always hated the Eagles and always will but this loss was the one where the hate just skyrocketed outta of this world... the next year we won our 4th super bowl and the agony we suffered this year was erased completely... but I will never forget this loss 🤦🏾‍♂️

    • @paravecchiavince9685
      @paravecchiavince9685 4 года назад +2

      Exactly. They let the slowest Eagle get behind them for a long TD pass, then took the kickoff off and allowed the onside recovery, then let Vick break contain and run wild for 2 drives before whiffing the tackle and coverage on the Maclin TD that my 3 year old daughter could’ve thrown, killed themselves with a offensive penalty in between and then allowed both sides of the pocket to collapse on Manning with the sack that led to the punt. They’re lucky Mickell couldn’t get under that errant throw or they would’ve lost on a FG. The Eagles literally did everything right for 7:40 and the Giants did everything wrong at the same time.
