Soccer AM and Soccer Saturday with Jeff Stelling made up the bulk of my Saturday viewing throughout my 20s and into my 30s - and now they're both gone. Talk about making you feel old.
As a Pools fan Jeff it was always so heart warming to see you flying the flag for a small working class town in the northeast. A true supporter and an incredible broadcaster who will be sorely missed. And credit to Sky for allowing you to show your support for Pools on air. Hope to see you at the Vic a lot more now you've got a bit more time on your hands!

The worst part about getting older is everyone else getting older as well. I started watching Jeff as a 5 year old kid with my grandmother, and football took hold of me and never let go. Thank you for the memories Jeff. You will be very missed.
My best memories off Soccer Saturday has always been Mers, Tiss, Thomo, Charlie and Kammy with Jeff, just the absolute dream team for me, just so many great memories through the years and amazing bants. Really going to miss Jeff. All the best to the lad, always be a legend and a gentleman.

Jeff hits the mark perfectly, without rushing, without missing anything. Naturally. How many times must he have done this countdown over the years and nailed every one. Jeff was not just a great pundit but he was soccer saturday and dread to think what idiot will replace him. Unlike most pundits on commercial tv jeff had respect and knowledge of lower league teams. Hes sure given the national league some plug. Enjoy your retirement
