Spirit Beside Me - Pilot Episode | Synopsis
Thousands of years ago, a King (Kue Lee) of the Hmong Kingdom orders his most trusted Royal Guard (Yujin Thao) to inspect a village that people say have been attacked. The Daughter of the King (Sua Vang) who has seer-like abilities warns the Royal Guard not to go. The Royal Guard, loyal to the King and kingdom, obeys the orders; he travels out with his men.
The Royal Guard with his soldiers sees a small shelter suspicious in the woods. The shelter looked as if it was just recently abandoned with food still warm, but everything seems to be empty.
…or so they thought.

This looks really good and different in the Hmong community, though you guys should work a bit with the language to make it sound more ancient and not too modern to not kill the vibe. Great start!

Bad script . They don't use advance hmong words . That's what sucks and these are actors that never took acting classes very poorly made . Not worth watching. Hmong movies nowadays are so stupid . I prefer old back then movies like zeb thiab xab . Seems like hmong movies are going down hill instead of up .
@@onelove5525 Most hmong short films/movies don't use advances like you said especially Hmong Laotian and Hmong Thai except this one is improving. But what really bothers the most are the words, the pace of the lines and pronounciations. I hope that improves next time.
Don't make sense that yujin said koj hu kuv ntxhai huab tais , He must say puas yog koj hu kuv ntxhai huab tais .
Well, he wouldn't really say "kuv" but would say "nyuag yau" because he would address himself in kinda like a third person way as for this line.

What's the meaning of this movie? What kind of message Is sending out there? This movie is so confuse. It make more sense if this movie show how 18 hmong last names were created from the get go. For christ sakes please did a movie about how our 3 hmong kings were killed and betrayed by our own Hmong peoples.
Not going to watch it.
