Love sunseeker boats! Great for getting to a destination quick! I used to take my 76 sunseeker from key west to Bahamas! I'm waiting on a new boat now. The market is crazy for boats right now..
Thanks for a great video! I only wish you spoke a bit about the costs for this trip such a cost for fuel or the slip rental. I was really amazed at a 74" yacht cruising at 30 knots-that's really moving along! I'm currently watching similar videos as I'm looking into the idea of restoring a yacht and living aboard for my retirement while also using it as a charter to supplement our income. Currently looking at one yacht as an example which is a 105' steel hull, 5 cabin (10 ppl) and 4 crew which only cruises 12-14 knots with a top speed of 16-18 knots. There is just SO much preparation to even consider this lifestyle, especially on a non-millionaire's budget
Thank you. I wish I had more of that information, but I didn't really as I wasn't in charge of fuel. The fuel tank holds 1268 gallons and we were full when we left Fort Lauderdale. We did wait to fill up at Staniel Cay, but actually ran of our fuel 10 miles out. We had to transfer fuel from the generator, which meant the lines had to be bled and it took us about an hour. We also fueled up at Nassau, but I don't know if they filled up each time. Good luck with your search!
@@BoatingJourney The yacht I'm looking at has different ranges quoted by different brokers listing the specs, anywhere from 2400-4200 nautical miles on an 8000 gallon tank. Even at the lower range, I'm looking at a deluxe cruise leaving from North of Miami and cruising down past the keys hopping around making several stops. The itinerary includes Key West, Cancun, Kingston Jamaica, skirting the coast of the Turks and Caicos islands, stop in Nassau Bahamas, and back home. Round trip would be about 2000 NM leaving plenty of fuel. This would also be a 6 day trip plus a couple extra days for sightseeing and resting. Thinking maybe 10 days for the trip package. On the outside, if it were the 4000 plus mile range, this could easily go direct to the French Riviera!

Great question! This was a work trip and we used the yacht to transport 14 staff members. Only the captain stayed on it, so this brand new yacht stayed impeccable for our customers to enjoy during the trip.
Not yet. We're now in Florida, looking. First the insurance company has to approve the slip location....which we are finding difficult due to hurricane season

@DiamondD funny how you don't know that technically anything over 40 ft is considered a yacht in the Marine industry, above that you have superyacht and mega yacht. You're just a boat owner not a manufacturer I don't think you qualify to name things. Stay in your lane.
@@diamondd1234 Actually if you want to speak facts any vessel over 30 ft is considered a yacht. But I understand why you don't see it that why because you like I obviously have owned several (Boats) big and small and when you own a 36 or 43 ft boat its hard to compare it to my 74 ft viking.
