It's not about All Stars. It's about fit and what you bring to the team. Knicks now have 2 of the best perimeter defensive wings in the league to pair with 2 All-NBA level scorers. They can stagger 2 at all times and still have Hart and Divencenzo coming off the bench now.

Thibs will make him even better also on both sides of the ball but yes mainly it’s about fit… he is also young as well

Totally agree. I'm a long time pistons fan. And the bad boy pistons and the 04 team was nothing but role players that knew their role. Zeke and Chauncey were the leaders that held everything together. The Knicks have everything they need and the Villanova 4 should work just fine. But the main thing is 2 have everything in place around the V4. And if they do that then the skies are the limit. We shall C.

No they are not. Lets stop with this foolishness. Firstly reality, the Celtics just won a chip without losing more than one game in any series while missing a 7'3" guy who was good for 20/7. That top 5. The Celtics have two wings alone better than them, That already puts them at 3-4. Jimmy, Lebron, KD, Booker, Ant, Beal, George, Kawhi, Wagner, B.I. Porter Jr, Gordon, Williams, and you could make an argument for Zach, Wiggins as we saw both of them be better than what Bridges was in similar situations. OG is hurt as much as Kawhi and that 200+ has the potential to become a real bad contract, real fast.

The other thing people aren’t thinking about is that the Knicks feel like they have their stars for offensive output in Brunson and Randle, who are both unique in their own way in terms of matchups. So the Knicks making these deals are showing they believe they already have their all star pieces and needed to solidify there wings, especially since a two way wing in this league is rare and expensive. Now they have two of the best two way players in the league. If they somehow resign Hartenstein, watch out

The knicks still have picks, so whys everyone crying. Thats why u accumulate those picks, to go after a guy. No one has 10 picks, selects 10 players in the draft and they all hit and become allstars, it doesnt happen. Maybe you land one solid player out of that batch.

Most the roster is filled with players on GREAT contracts… and it’s funny how the media works lol before this year, ppl were literally talking about Mikal being that guy and maybe even a 1a but since he had a down year on a miserable team, that he did not even wanna be on, now that all goes away hah its funny how the media works… but its mainly about connection and what he does that will help the knicks more than some other “big” name guys… thibs is going to make Mikal so much better also on both sides of the ball…. If the Knicks re-sign Hartenstein, I would get rid of Randle. He would not be needed and is not a good fit.
If the Knicks don't re-sign Hartenstein, I would seriously consider playing Randle at the 5 a good part of the time and play small ball.
I would keep Precious Achiuwa and Mitchell Robinson either way. If there's a big team that the small ball lineup can't deal with, these two guys will help.

Can't decide which fanbase is worst: Celtics', Lakers' or Knicks'.
I'm presently inclined to pick the Knicks' on account of them acting like their team's two rings equate to 20. But 48 hours ago, I'd have said the Celtics' because among other reasons... y'know... racism. 48 hours before that, I'd have said the Lakers' because they had the audacity to still be running their mouths after getting bounced in the first round **again**.
Cue the weeping and gnashing of teeth by Celtics fans 😏

    • @michaelcorcoran8768

Massachusetts has an ugly history of busing from the '70s, so there's definitely some racist in the city. But the state as a whole and New England were broadly speaking is among the most progressive in the country. It has the least support for Donald Trump, a man who's primary appeal is that he's openly hostile and racist. Massachusetts has among the most progressive legislatures, was the first state to pass gay marriage.
The idea that Celtics fans are more racist than fans in Texas or Charlotte or -- and let's be real Florida, who also has an openly bigoted governor and supports Trump-- seems to be pretty spurious. Seems more of an excuse to just s*** on them since you don't like the fact that the team just won the championship.
It seems kind of strange for Miami fans to sit here and wag a finger at people from Massachusetts for being racist when they're literally electing Ron DeSantis.
