    How utterly shameful is it for concerned truly patriotic Americans that a young comedian from South Africa has a much clearer uncomplicated view of race relations and police militarization than the Republican Party's 2016 US Presidential Candidate? As just one truly patriotic and deeply concerned American, I find it abysmally shameful!

      madin1510 I'm not from the USA but from what I hear over the internet/reddit every day about random innocent unarmed people getting shot... I think there's a good reason to generally mistrust american police. Police in my country is awesome. They aren't even allowed to legally point their weapons at you if you don't pose a SIGNIFICANT thread to them.

    • @dcstevens0074
      @dcstevens0074 8 лет назад

      It could have been a semiautomatic rifle. There is a technique called a bump fire that could also account for the 3 shots. Basically you pull the trigger and the recoil and reset causes the gun to bump against the trigger finger. It is almost like having an automatic fire at that point.

    • @cherchehacknostale
      @cherchehacknostale 8 лет назад +2

      +Jack Brauer Yeah! Me too and I'm verry happy. In my country every time a policeman (or woman no sexism huh) uses his/her gun, s/he needs a good reason and has to fills some paperwork of the context who leads the police officer to use his weapon. And if unfortunately he killed someone, he will have to talk about it to a psychiatrist who will evaluate his mental and capacity to continue to exercice.

    As someone who takes care of people with developmental disabilities one of the scariest things that can happen when one of my clients is having an incident in public is if someone calls the police with vague information. I am lucky I'm not black too because the last thing I need to contend with is the police instantly thinking I'm a threat before I can explain to them the situation and help them understand the best way to proceed.
    I'll admit I felt angrier than I have in a long time when the story continued and the policeman claimed to be trying to shoot the autistic man. I honestly don't know what I would do if an officer fired at one my clients.

      Hispanic cop accidentally shoots a black guy. Not racist.
      TREVOR NOAH IS A RACEBAITER - for every one of these "racist" shootings he could cover 2 white shootings, more unjustified ones too!
      Handcuffing someone is procedural until the situation is assessed, there's literally hundreds of examples of innocent whites being handcuffed. Also, ambulances are dispatched as soon as shots are fired. The cops were much further from the incident than the people filming, they couldn't hear what was being shouted by Kinsey. They were operating soley on the information that a potentially hostile white man had a weapon, confirmed by an eye witness.
      Now, did you all see how quickly the "racist" narrative fell apart? Bad police work. Yes. racism. No
      We seriously need to educate the vitriolic black people and leftists on this issue. Black people in america seem to think they hold some kind of special "insider" info on situations like these, because of their skin color. They're not police officers, they often jump to conclusions and have serious confirmation bias. Just use Trayvon Martin, Duke Lacrosse and Mike Brown etc. as recent examples.
      If you want to debunk these black and liberal race baiters, tell them to check the DOJ statistics, and look up the police shooting archives - also read Roland Fryers recent study on police shootings, he's a black harvard professor. Are you gonna believe experts OR internet trolls with chips on their shoulders and ZERO evidence who jump to conclusions without facts??
      Thought so.

    Can anyone remember when a bunch of American police officers came over to Britain to see how Met. police handled violent and aggressive behaviour without firearms? The UK officers showed how they could disarm and incapacitate a man weilding a knife with nothing but a baton and pepper spray. At this rate, every US police officer needs to come over to Britain to see that because these unfitting uses of firearms is getting out of hand.

    I get what Trevor is saying, and I agree, however I think most of the responsibilities that he's saying the police deal with too much are also responsibilities for police in other countries other than the US. I think more importantly, the police there need to learn not to shoot randomly and control their guns and shoot at the right time if needed.

      Before any training is given these people need a serious phycological evaluation and they need to dig deep into each persons background, the same way you would vet school teacher or anyone dealing with children to make sure they don't pose a threat to those children. Because the current system is seriously flawed, all this needs to be done soon as potential candidates apply for a job in the police because there seems to be some seriously disturbed and twisted individuals in police departments through out America and they need to be rooted out for the safety of the public whom there supposed to serve and protect. When an officer is shooting a man lying on the floor with his hands up complying, posing no threat to you or your colleagues it leaves you questioning the mentality of some off these individuals in law enforcement and there reasons for joining the force because it sure isn't to uphold the law.

    In France the Police handles everything too. And they don't kill or shoot anyone. Maybe if America started to banish guns the police could do its job in more serene conditions. Without being afraid that the person they want to arrest may be armed too.

      are they going to ban guns from the hands of the police also, when you give too much power to a person, people or institution you will have abuse. in my openion every responsible humsn being needs to right to protect themselves; because not that I have a title does it mean I will do whats right! I believe its time to start teaching the truth, start being responsible for our actions and we must be made accountable for our actions despite what position we hold in society.

    • @TheASPotter76
      @TheASPotter76 8 лет назад

      +Wells One What you just said makes no sense at all. Either your thoughts are really confused or you don't communicate them well enough. Every citizen shouldn't be able to defend themselves. Every citizen should be defended by the Police. That's the role of the police as you can see it written on many police cars "Protect and Serve". The police is here to enforce laws. If every citizen has a gun then the police has no means to enforce laws. You should really read your last comment. In it you say that giving too much power to an institution is bad. That's for sure. But when you speak of the police, having more power than the normal citizen is its nature. If anyone have the same amount of power than the police the how are they supposed to enforce laws? To intimidate criminals? If we follow your way of thinking everybody should have the right to fire a nuke in his garden because countries (institutions) have the nuclear weapon. It doesn't add up.

      Not in that situation but with everything that has happened with police officers being and all. I guess he was scared of getting "ambushed" or something and probably wasn't even listening to the guy.I don't think there's anyway to justify what he did.Even Officer himself said he didn't know why he did it.He definitely shouldn't be a police officer but he had a reason to be afraid.

    • @MrDemeko
      @MrDemeko 8 лет назад +1

      I wanted to make it clear that I am not siding with the officer he shot a completely innocent man. Who was probably just as scared as the officer if not more. I do believe the man's race played a part in why he was shot, and if it were a white man he would have been less likely to have been shot.

So when we for some reason ended up talking about police brutality in America it surprised me. She said something along the lines of "it's like black people only have to go outside to get shot", and agreed with me when I said people that say racism is over aren't living in our world. The fact that I "need" to have this conversation with my 13-year-old cousin when we live across an entire ocean from America is baffling, no Swede can understand why organisations like the NRA exists and prevents progress
