  • Hi and thanks for visiting my channel. This is a series of planned videos that will document the transformation of my van into a part-time camper van.
In this episode: No camper would be complete without a salad bowl washing up sink! Right?! That's what I thought.
I am going to be living the vanlife as often as possible and posting updates and blogs along the way. Subscribe to follow my build!
    Thanks for watching.

I made this after watching this video. It came out perfect! The hardest part was the hole in the bowl! But I got it with a bit of elbow grease! Thank You!

Really enjoying your videos bud! We're in the process of DIY self building our VW T4 so we're kind of mid-research/gather materials before we plough on with the conversion. This was very clear and helpful!

Just a tip for anyone watching, Run a bead of silicone around the outside of the sink and with a rag + some thinners run your finger around the sink. It will leave a smooth curved bead for a professional finish.
Also for a no fuss tap I use the large spring water bottles that have the little tap then simply overhang and replace them as needed or you could also use a bench top water purifier with tap.

I just LOVE you, you got a real witty humor. I thought that was pretty ingenious of you to use a stainless steel mixing bowl as a sink. Watching this had given me the idea to use a rectangular, SS commercial food container as a rectangular sink to maximize the kitchen space, as I plan to have square plates anyway. Thank you for making this vid and posting on here.

You could also use a catering stainless container (gastronorm) which you can get in lots of depth and circumference measurements also very sturdy

Could the slots be for a sliding waste plug?

Could be actually, someone else said something similar but my plumbing knowledge is really letting me down on this.
