The problem is in the subway in New York is that law-enforcement does absolutely nothing. You can have a passenger stab another passenger and they will just let the person go. And the next day the person will be back to stab somebody else and they just let them go. This just goes on and on and on in New York. The law enforcement doesn’t seem to do anything.

Huh? Under U.S. constitutional law, the 50 individual states and the United States as a whole are each sovereign jurisdictions. They are sovereign, but NOT independent. It's the GD name of the country "United States" of America. The states can self-govern and write laws as long as they don't conflict with the US Constitution, and the waterways, and that is where the US government comes in.

The laws under which the MTA operates the system are basically the same as private property. You are 100% legally allowed to deny entry to your private property if some refuse a search.

The MTA is a public company. City taxpayers not only provide substantial support through the City budget, but also pay the bulk of taxes dedicated to the MTA and much of the contribution made from the State budget....

Defund the police means shifting funds to other types of emergency personnel, like mental health crisis workers and family social workers to handle disputes that the cops don’t need to be wasting their time with and/or accidentally escalating into a tragedy.
