- "Russia has launched a new wave of counteroffensive operations in the Kharkiv sector," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ukrainian commanders have been expecting a summer offensive for some time, but officials are adamant Russia does not have the resources to do so.
The defence ministry in Kyiv said “there was an attempt by the enemy to break through our defensive line under the cover of armoured vehicles. As of now, these attacks have been repulsed, fighting of varying intensity continues.”
The return of heavy fighting in the north-east further illustrates Russia's growing confidence and ambition.

I have alternative sources to get unbiased information, but it's funny how BBC immediately claims this Russian offensive as a failure (quoting UA MoD), but they were literally lying to us for weeks on how Ukrainian counteroffensive was going 😆. I thought BBC was more reputable than that, I dont even know why they still trust statements from the Ukrainian side since they've lied many times in the past (not saying Russian side is more trustworthy) but at least wait a day or two for the fog of war to clear 😂🤣😂
