Hello friends! Today I am sharing with you all a long awaited video,. A lot of you have asked me to share how I store and organize my home decor. I decided that it was finally time after taking down my christmas decor. I even decided to go through all my home decor and declutter it first and then of course we jump into organizing it. I hope this brings you all so much motivation to get your home decor decluttered and organized as well!

I place all my seasonal towels, pot holders, placemats,runners & blankets in vacuum seal bags from dollar tree, saves a lot of space.

Thank you for posting- I'm a lot like you as far as how, what and where our holiday decor is stored! I live in Florida so storing some decorations ARE NOT possible in the heat of the garage or attic. Like you- Christmas is my very favorite holiday season and I go all out in celebrating this glorious and magical season, so I have a lot! You've given me some great ideas that I had not thought of in terms of storing- thank you!

We stayed in a home many years ago that had a walk-in closet the width of the room and probably 5' deep: all shelved to house the hostess' home decor and seasonal items. I've never forgotten it.
Another idea for a place to store your seasonal kitchen items is the cabinets above your refrigerator if you have them. We have a large refrigerator and it's very difficult to access that area so I store my ceramic/glass Halloween and Christmas kitchen items up there, knowing I only have to get up there a few times a year.

You should get vaccum seal bags for your pillows as throws, saves a ton of space and it keeps it nice and clean for the following years. 🥰 I get mines on amazon, it comes in lots of sizes.
That is a great system, you could buy those bags for your blankets and pillows that condense them down .
But you know what you have and how it will work for you .

I do the tree last!I have 8 bins od christmas stuff!Its 2 to 3 days of messy chaos and then I decorate with white deer and WhiteSantas and trees for winter!If you have this much at your young age..heaven help you!So much easier..........

I also pack my holiday clothes and candles (as well as mugs and towels) with my decor. It saves me on storage on my drawers and cupboards and jeeps it all together. The clothes and towels help protect breakable too!

I feel good when I put things away neatly and in catagories, I am just finishing taking it all down and storing under my stairs. It holds all my newer things and pillows and the rest like greenary and trees go out to my shed. This is day 3 of taking down.. Can't wait too see what you will be doing next. Happy New Year!!!

We have a large area in basement where we store all our large bins of holiday decor. I'm a decorating nut. For Christmas alone I 20 bins of 27 gallons for Christmas alone. And there's about 30 plus boxes and bins in attic for Christmas. More bins for fall, Easter, spring, Halloween and winter also for summer. I think I need to rent a storage unit🥺🥺😖😖😖
I live in a very small townhouse with hardly any storage. I have a small spare room that is overflowing and overwhelming and I do declutter and donate, etc. I can never wrangle it all together.

Love how to put your things in the bins. I used to try to put my seasonal cups in my China closet and it got too cluttered. Great idea wrapping them in paper 👍🏻😃 Just a tip … I purchased vacuum bags from Amazon for all of my pillows and put them according to the season of decor. Saved a lot of room in my closet. Wish I could utilize my attic space. I live in southern Arizona and if I did that, everything would melt over the summer 😂 I do have all of my bins in the garage even though it gets hot in there too. I’ve tried purging all of my seasonal decor and still have too much 😳 I have waaay too much Halloween 🎃 😅 Happy New Year Cass to you and your family 🎉🍾🥳

I finally decided to take down my tree and was hoping to see how you managed to make your pre lit tree fit back in the box cause I have the same exact one as you but I don’t know how you did it to make it fit back in the box and I don’t wanna have to spend more money for something to store my tree in😣
I just stuffed it back in the box it came in😅 I defluffed it as much as I could branch by branch and then just stuffed it in the box! It was hard but it fits!

So much wasted plastic....ornaments don't need to be packaged in zip bags for storage.
I will reuse the same bags over each year, I do this because they are going up in an attic and I don’t want them to collect dust since it is an unfinished attic filled with insulation. Also, if you don’t want to do it my way that’s ok.
