So thankful you have your precious baby boy. All the time you were talking I just could not take my eyes off of his head of hair and him moving his little head. I keep smiling through the whole video. I am praying my granddaughter gets to have her dream come true since she had two miscarriages . Can’t tell you how happy I am for you.
Aww Cass! So happy for you, Johnathan and baby! Every birth experience is unique and some with complications, but all worth it in the end! I remember with my first born when they told me if we can't deliver him in the next 20 minutes, we have to do a C section...i said lets do whatever we have to do and by the grace of God, he came 5 minutes later...the doctor said he didn't want to cut me, i said just do it and with one final push he was here. That was 12 years ago! I had complications after, blacked out for about 20 minutes, gave my husband a scare...but we made it happy and healthy! And then we had another son four years later 🙂.
Cass you are such a warrior Mama!!! ❤❤❤ Jonathan is beautiful, and I’m with you- no matter what happens as long as there’s a happy Mama and baby, the methods are not as important as that! ❤ praise God you’re a healthy family of 3! ❤
You're so right, the most important this is that baby and mamma are home and healthy! I'm so sorry you went through that. My first was a very similar issue, baby's heart rate was decreasing with contractions so we went for the C Section right away as well. That was 25 years ago and baby grew up healthy and well. So happy for little Jonathan to get to be there with his momma today and so excited for all of the wonderful blessings to come. Enjoy that precious blessing!!

Hi Cass. Congrats on that beautiful boy!!! I can totally relate to your story as my daughter was in and out of the hospital with twins and when she was in L&D with an irritable uterus the nurse that night ignored my daughter telling her she felt like pushing...she was not allowed to deliver naturally as she was only 31 weeks and both babies were breech. Also she was only to dilate to 3 before they had her have a C section. Well because this nurse ignored her she was at 5 and the boy twin was deprived oxygen for a short time. He is doing well but a tad delayed. They are 3.5 years old now and he and his sister are my pride and joy. Always listen to your gut. My daughter could have lost them. They were 3.6 and 3.13 pounds at 31 weeks. Stay strong and remember there is no right or wrong way to deliver a baby. I have had 4 Cs myself. You look great. Take the healing process slowly. Both time my delivery wasn’t good. Every time I think back about those days I get so mad and wish I made complaints. You can really feel the ones that do the job for the job and the ones who do it because they care. I’m sorry it didn’t go as you wanted and pray the next goes better. I will say we are done but if we are blessed with another then I’d love to do an at home delivery. If possible since our second needed surgery as soon as he was born.

Oh Cass, how scary but I’m so glad you have a healthy baby boy! I know what you mean about the opposite of what you wanted - they had to use forceps to get my baby out! You are so at the mercy of the doctor and what they think is best at the time. At the end of the day, you just want a healthy baby to hold. Congratulations!

With my first I had a really traumatic experience too, and had to have an emergency c-section with bring put to sleep, long story! With my second it was A scheduled section, but again went into labor the day before and had another emergency section.. and that one i was awake but had a panic attack.. another long story! But like you I was just thankful for my babies, i only had the 2, with one miscarriage in between. They're grown now with kids of their own and I'm so blessed. I'm so happy for you and you just glow! God truly is good!!

I am so very happy for you, your journey has been tough, but you have made baby Johnathan a reality! congratulations you will be loving parents. I would like to say something there has been some negativity regarding swaddling and an infant overheating especially during the night. Please, Please do your research and make your own decision if swaddling is something you want to do, I will be honest I chose not to on my children.

So happy you were able to bring home your beautiful and healthy baby! What a blessing! It's ok to grieve not having the birth experience you dreamt of. Out of my 3 babies, 2 were c-sections. My last baby's birth was kind of like yours. His heart rate dropped, emergency c-section, ripped bladder when they pulled him out, high blood pressure, magnesium.... In the end, I would do it all over again for him because I love him so much! I know you get it 😊. Enjoy this precious time and Congratulations!!!
