LOL, they were looking for a HC with prior HC experience. Yet, their main target was Ben Johnson who's an OC. And Quinn with SO MUCH GLOWING recommendations...he was left on the floor and hired LAST. Tell me more.
And why do you think Ben Johnson was the main target? Nobody knew anything about what they were thinking lol. This was media and fan hype. Relax and stop thinking negative.
As a Washington fan, this sucks!! Excited when we got Peters but then follow up with Quinn from our biggest rival?! This is like getting a Ford Mustang for graduation but then find out it's a 4 cylinder...BS!!

I don't care how good he did in Dallas as a coordinator. After that collapse and choke job in the Superbowl as the Falcons coach. He should never be a head coach again. You can't shake that off.
Kyle Shanahan was more responsible for that joke than Quinn was and he did fine. Litterally the best coach in the league,

I'm a Washington fan - I'm meh about this. They are right that the QB pick and the OC is more important. I think we assumed we would get Johnson or Slowik - or MacDonald - and when all three fell through, we went with the guy who was left. I think he will be ok. Need a good OC that matches the QB type.
Unlike other so-called Washington fans, I'll hold my judgment on the hiring of Dan Quinn as Head Coach until after his first year in.

Why does he deserve to be hired as head coach? I don’t think eb is bad coach, but he hasn’t proven anything to make an owner think he is the best option. I think Dan Quinn might bring him back, then if he can’t improve the offense with a top 2 qb draft pick then clearly he just isn’t it
Also chiefs are in Super Bowl again so I no long consider that his proven track record. Andy Reid is the genius behind that offense. Oh and not to mention they have top 3 qb of all time
@@Tyler.56 Because most OC get called up to be HC, his body of work in KC spoke for itself, it was better than Johnson, Quinn, or MacDonald. And he would pick a QB that would fit his game plan. My opinion.

Great a team in the Cowboys division picked up one of the worst candidates out there lol. Quinn did nothing for our defense and was the HC at ATL (28-3). He is not it and grateful we don’t have to worry about Washington next year
Pretty hilarious - they praise antiquated Quinn’s hiring but yawn at and trash the Titans’ hiring the best offensive mind that was hired in this coaching cycle. Yet another example of the joke the national media is when it comes to teams that aren’t in bigger markets.

Spend just a couple minutes actually looking into Callahan’s background, where he’s coached, the offenses and QBs he’s been heavily integrated with, what Zac Taylor has actually said about how significant Callahan’s role was in their offense and play calling in both the game planning and during the game…instead of making the same old clearly ignorant and generic statement about “he didn’t call plays, he can’t be a good offensive mind”. I’m willing to bet you don’t follow the Titans and/or Bengals at all and have done next to no actual research on Callahan’s history other than following the uninformed general narrative from the National media of “he didn’t call plays.” Get educated just a tiny bit before coming to such naive conclusions.

Quinn is a great improvement over Rivera. Good coaches were not exactly knocking on our door. Would love to pick up a rookie friendly offensive coordinator and a good defensive coordinator to fill our staff. We have the opportunity to draft a top QB in the draft, I like Daniels a lot, he has superior numbers than the other candidates, his completion percentage is also above the others. He is tall , fast and accurate in passing. He also isn't shy about throwing the deep ball. We have a lot of money , extra picks , free agency and the draft . It won't be overnight but this team is heading in the right direction.

The dumpster fire was Dan Snyder, new ownership seemed to deem this a sacrificial year, which didn’t hurt the fans too bad cause we’re used to Dan Snyder making us do naked squats on top of pineapples every year.
That sacrifice got us a #2 pick, which could be the start of something beautiful. I have hope in them for the first time since the flash in the pan that was RG3 and the coaching staff from heaven
