- This video is the complimentary design to my “Nautical” beaded ball ornament. I go over the entire process again for how to recreate this design for your own tree at home. Please note that these are my own designs and are intended for personal use only.
Materials:
11/0 seed beads (Miyuki in Matte Transparent Crysta)
6 mm bugle beads (Miyuki in White Pearl)
11/0 seed bead “Christmas Green” (originally bought in bulk)
13 feet waxed beading thread
2.6 inch (67 mm) glass ball ornament
Tools:
#10 beading needle
Spring clamp bead stop
Large eye needle
Scissors
Ruler (measuring out 13 feet thread)
I love love LOVE Shipwreck Beads in Lacey, Washington. It's a wonderful piece of beader's paradise!!
Love this ornament. I even have the beads to do it before Christmas. Thanks
Wonderful!
Love this. I beaded a green ornament with gold seed bead as opposed to Matte crystals and matte white where you used green. I just couldn’t figure out how to add my picture.
Unfortunately, right now my channel isn't big enough to have a community tab, but we are almost there! Feel free to share your creations on my FB page @seafarerdaughter. Thank you for dropping a comment!!
Great video, thanks, but why use bugles in the collar. Is it just preference or is there 'beading science' behind it 😂
A bit of both. The bugle bead helps with the structure. Thanks for watching. Cat
@@catstrunk3156 ... thanks for the timely reply 😊
how many beads would i use instead of bugle beads? i don't have bugles currently 🥲🥲🥲
This is a very good question. I made two test collars to sort this out. The short answer is 5 seed beads of the 11/o size to replace each of the bugle beads in the original design. I would like to see your final project to see how the other beads pull on the modified collar. Thanks for watching my video. Cat
