It has been months since the Leafs were struggling in a Wildcard Position. Matthews looks better with Bert & Domi. Likely these new line mates will help - overcome old Leaf Core 4 playoff disappointment trends. Is better than just repeating what didn’t work for years of playoff setbacks.😀

@@JarradBruessel32 You must be living under a puck! Pens are not rebuilding as they gave new contract extensions to Letang/Malkin and they have another 3 years of Karlsson. Crosby will probably get a 2 year extension as some point.

Penguins are a lazy team. Case in point - about 1:30 in Karlsson takes the puck into the Leafs zone past the icing line, then it gets turned over and he's still near the icing line as it leaves the Leafs zone. Stood there and watched the play

Pens couldn't keep up their pace from the 1st period. They emptied the tank, leafs played with pace all the way through and weathered the storm in the first. Great win
Pens got 2 lucky breaks with a spin-around shot and Sammy not knowing where the puck was behind while not getting help from his d-men as usual!
No Defense Leafs with the comeback win in OT. Samaonov was looking like David De Hea on those saves.
Doesn't help with the one sided penalty calls all night. They managed to call 5 penalties against the Leafs, despite a clear dive by Bunting, but somehow "mussed" several against Pittsburgh. Even when the Leafs finally got a PP, they get another call against. That and the offsides and icing's always in favor of Pittsburgh. Crosby crying the entire night.
