Imhotep was not even aware of the guy from whom he ripped eyes off, has his Sacred jar. But yet he harmed him. So there was every chance he would be killed or handicapped.
@puneetnaik7158 What are you talking about? Imohtep took the jar from the guy whose eyes and tongue he's ripped from. Yeah, Benny could've been an easy mark, but his quick wit kept him from being harmed. He showed to be more useful alive than dead, but if he did take a jar, that would've been his ass as we saw much later in the film when the remaining guy tried to give his back to Imohtep, he got sucked dry (pause).

Definitely funny scene but if real, I doubt if Imhotep would understand what Benny was saying. Imhotep is from age of Seti 1st, which is about 13th century B.C. The ancient Hebrew started disappearing around Babylonian Captivity age (6th century B.C.) as Aramic was flowing in. Through a couple millenia, Hebrew became dead language that could be only heard at religious rituals just like Latin. It only got revived in modern days with emergence of Zionism. Given the time gap and the fact that modern Hebrew had to borrow many vocabularies from Arabic in its rebuild, Hebrew that Imhotep remembers is probably quite different. Just a quick thought ;)
