Todays video is a easy the last step on the rebuilt 650h1 motor in the Arctic Cat. This is setting up the valve clearance to make sure everything is right where it needs to be. The exhaust needs to be set at .006 and the intake needs to be set at .004. inside the atv this will be a bit difficult but not impossible. make sure the engine is cold and at TDC on the compression stroke. If it's not on the compression stroke you're going to hear the engine rattle once you start it up. You want the engine to be cold as metal expands when its hot and it will alter the clearances on the valve lash.

How do you rotate the crankshaft to get TDC? I saw you moving something with the crow bar, but I couldn’t see what you were doing on that side...

You may want to reference a service manual for proper clearances

I was just wondering I did a compression test on my king quad I only got 60 lb on the compression test is it possible the machine can still run with such low pressure it still runs

You could have a decompression lever to make easier starting, which in case only a leak Down test would really tell the health of the motor

@@TestDontguess is it possible to put a 700 h1 head and jug on a 550 h1? I've heard that they all use the same timing chain and setup and that it would turn it into a 670, I just don't know if it would work though

So your advice on finding top dead center is to hope that you're not one rotation out? 😂 How many engines have you ruined? You clearly should not be giving advice on this subject.
