Absolutely spot on Mike. Your dad is highly gifted and you are doing a good job at keeping up the tradition. I have spent may hours with my late son totally engrossed in model railways and now I am starting to do the same with my grandson. It is definitely a family thing.
What a wonderful video of you and your Dad. There was nothing wrong with his memory when you made this. Fantastic to have such a keepsake video along with all his creations. Thanks for sharing. Roy.
Hi Roy, many thanks indeed, yes he was not too bad here, a later video you can see the change, he is at rest now and I do miss him, but like you say this film, the others and the models he made help me a lot
Thought for a minute this was a new one. Hope your father is well these days. Still, I can watch this over and over. Shows how far the layout itself has come to!
Great bit of 'behind the scenes' on these wonderful models! The fact that these excellent models were made by hand and look so excellent is incredible; Especially that T9, which still tops the Hornby production ones. Thanks so much for sharing these in your films!
Another great video Mike! Think I need your dad to fix a few of my Hornby locos!👍😎🇦🇺🤣You must be really proud of him, his skills and patience must be amazing!
Hi Mike, just viewed this video of you and your dad. You must be very proud the modelling skills are incredible and hold up to any modern loco ready to run or kit!
Ahaa!! The model making man himself! :-) A great amount of craftsmanship in all the locos you've made. Top stuff!! And yeah the T9 is my favourite one there too. :-)
This is one of my favourite videos. Wonderful locomotives built by a real craftsman.
Aww thank you Roderic, that's a special one for me

Hi, very many thanks. It does become a family thing for sure. Very sorry to read of your 'late son' all the best
these are the type of videos I like best, gentle, well shot with loads of info. I'll look forward to part two and well done.
Many thanks, there is kind of a part 2 in the Drummond Christmas video, sadly there won't be another like this as dad has deteriorated too much now
hi mike sad to hear about your dad a lot of knowledge will be lost from a generation who knew both railways and model railways.
wonderful video and great to see the man behind those fabulous models. what a skilled craftsman
Thanks so much, yes very skilled indeed, only glad I can keep them going
Pleased to meet you, Dad. You are now an international model building legend. All the best from Clifton, NJ, USA!

You should both be very proud - your Dad for his modelling skills, and you of your Dad. Loved the internal valve gear on the D15 class.
I am very proud thanks David

Yes, I thought it would go well in the same playlist as the series I am busy with. Dad is ok but the dementia is progressing sadly :(
Your Dad is a very special man. I built many a model railway with my Dad unfortunately I lost him when i was 15.
Thanks Philip, sad to hear about your loss :(
