Well there is a little more to it than you see in the video I had to skip a few things here and there so it wasn’t redundant. But for the most part it is a pretty straightforward procedure.

Still a really clean cj though. Much cleaner than mine lol. Mine we have had in the family since it was new but its had 39 years in the salt and sitting outside

Hate to break it to you but thats not original paint. It may be the original color but look at the overspray on the frame in the front. Frames were black factory. Over spray on the tail gate aswell. But considering the condition it probably only has 2 coats of paint. Pretty good for a jeep. I have a 81 and a 82 cj. The 81 was only painted twice (factory and a repaint of factory green) and the 82 jeep was tan then tan again then black and gold then green. That 82 jeep is a progect i picked up. The next cj ill fix up !

Yeah we realize that after we dug deep into this project. It looks like there was paint work done on the front clip for the most part. I’m not sure if it had been hit at one point or if it was just looking rough. I know the owner took really good care of it and I couldn’t find any damage on the frame related to an accident. The frame itself was rotted out because it’s out in the barn on a concrete slab with not a lot of air movement
