Ernst may get a lot of praise for his street work, but for me, his nature photographs, blurring, and abstractions are the most amazing.

Ernst Haas 1:18 was forced out of medical school after one year of study, in 1940, because he was Jewish. The post-war account here of his switch from medicine to photography doesn't line up.
