I owned 13 Trans Ams total. [ 76, 78, 80, 81, 83, 85, 87, 88, 89, 93, 94, 97 and 99 ]. I wish I had them all back!
I love it! I have a 75 Formula. I’ve owed it since 76. It’s been restored and modified to pro touring level. It’s as much as part of me as I am to it. I’ll never get rid of it. Pontiac for life!
I know it has no tops but this year without the tips is more rare than those with tops! Beautiful car.

Oh Wow I Love these cars this Beautiful Gold Trans Am is So Beautiful my first car I had when I got my DL was a 1976 455 4 speed white Trans Am with red interior and bird I have always wanted another my Dad got that T/A new in 76 and gave to my oldest brother who drove it a year a very hard year and my Father gave each of us a brand new car for graduation my oldest brother got a 1977 Grand Prix SJ everything on Good looking car then my middle brother wanted nothing to do with the 4 speed and my Dad waited for me and I was loving it so much fun my middle brother got his Brand new 1979 Z28 for his and I had wanted another T/A that was newer but because a serious illness and had to have emergency surgery and missed my whole 9th grade year in HS so 1982 became a 3rd generation Fire Bird and Camaro and that was the first year I thought the Z28 was Better looking then the T/A I just told my Dad I trust your decision and surprise me so he was working out of State and I still had a few months before graduation but he called told me to get on bus and ride 3 hours to Dallas Tx and my Oldest brother would pick me and I had to bring a friend so we get to one of those Big GM Dealership with Cheverolet and different other makes We get there don’t know what I am getting the Salesman spotted us and just asked me to come sign paperwork still don’t know and he finally says Oh yeah you want to see what you are getting he takes me inside Dealership and the car was on their main stage where they put the cars that stand out He takes me to a Beautiful Maroon Z28 maroon interior it stood out my friend and Brother had already been taken to and showed my hometown has a Big Chevrolet dealership but these cars are just coming out and Car and Track had given the new Camaros Car of the year and we drove that car back that night and I was at school early and I became popular and my dating life started that car car was doing it’s part and I was Good with that well in my hometown about 80 thousand then you just didn’t see any of new generations for a month or 2 I was seemed only car like that and the maroon color made it even more stand out and I Loved the new handling package in new car but that 305 V8 and metric transmission with plastic parts did not come close to what that T/A was but the older cars did not hold corners like this I am Back wanting a 2 nd generation Trans Am and 1979 has been the year and that Gold Wow it’s like when in 1979 Trans Ams were new and everything but this is even looking more standout the new paint jobs compared to back then this car of yours is Nice
He keeps saying that the car is big. Back in 77 this was considered to be a small car compared to the behemoths that existed in the day. There really isn’t a lot of room in the back seats, or the trunk.

A black paint job is actually far less expensive than a gold paint job. Gold metallic is one of the hardest base colors to lay and make it look consistent and the metallic look correct
I had a 81 Ta in red on red and a 78 z28 black on black I know a lot about how they come from owning them and my brother had a 80 z28 red with tan was sweet ta are much nicer inside
