i'm in my first year of pharmacy in Belgium and some people study pharmacy because they weren't able to pass the medicine entry exam, some hope to try the next year and be exempted for the classes that they passed. Others aren't don't have a chance to do another first year anymore so the will go to year 2 in pharmacy. So it is a little bit demotivating studying pharmacy when many people are there in hope of going to something "better" or constantly talking about failing to get into medicine.

I'm a 2nd yr pharmacy student in the Philippines and I have thoughts like this already. Pharmacy has a lot of opportunities but to get there, it requires a lot of skill and practice. And the thought of not being able to achieve that scares me so I doubted my own capabilities before even reaching it. I dont know why i typed this out but I hope u find what you want to do! I'm sure you enjoy helping people out and I still think you have a lot more to give in the pharmacy industry
This is the best video you've ever made! You were being honest through the whole time and you've literally spoken the untold feelings of mine! I got emotional a bit while watching. Well, it's been a year since I finished my high school life and I didn't get into any college yet because I also had no passion except for eating and sleeping but after the entrance exam I had a dream of contributing in healthcare but since I couldn't do much well in my exam i didn't get selected for med school in my country but I was really passionate on those days. And for abroad it's too expensive for my family but other majors aren't, I'm still figuring out what I would love to do the rest of my life, I also love a career which will help me to grow overall and bring me out of my comfort zone. Thank you so much for the video!

@@kyesyn448 hi!! i was thinking for months about pursuing foreign trade degree but tbh while i was searching about the subjects i didn't like 100% :( recently I'm studying some topics because i got interested and now my purpose is to combine the two professions. i realized i still love pharmacy and the medication world but i just don't like retails,clinicals etc jobs like the other people and thats okay. i will figure it out someday and i believe you will too ♡ from now i just want to try and learn as much as possible.
but if u have the chance to apply for different internship positions i would recommend it. it really helps to know in what area u want to work or not. i know it's hard this feeling trust me, but let's keep fighting and hoping for better days ♡ if u have another degree u want to study think about it too!! the things u like and not it helps

I think this is something we as people need to figure out. We don’t need to always be “moving forward” to “bigger and better” things. We have this idea ingrained in us that we can’t just enjoy what we have. We need more new things all the time. Having a secure job and house and family is not enough now we need more “experiences”. I don’t think it is good. If you have a good job be happy! You don’t need to be constantly “fulfilled” with every little thing. Does a dog think “I am not growing enough in this human home I need to move on to something better”? No! It is happy to be where it is right now. That is why we love them so much. They are always present. I think the best thing we can do is be best we can be at whatever we are currently doing. Wherever God puts us is where we need to be. Not somewhere else
You should be very proud of yourself being that brave. You're comfortable in your work place and still wanting to jump out of your comfort zone even though its scary, that's very brave for me! Most people would rather stay in your place earn the money and repeat for the rest of their life. I hope you find you own way in life. Thank you for sharing this. 💗

Hi, thank you for publishing this video ı am a pharmacy student and ı dont wanna be monotone (what ı mean is not feeling like you are doing your best) so that is the main issue for me to not open retail pharmacy what ı see most is logistical issues (drug ordering, bills, calculating or recording the economical changes in the pharmacy) that is why ı want to persue clinical pharmacy program beacuse it opens much more room for you to address the needs that patient has (ım kinda thinking that my education is not actually enough to give counsultaion to patients) (ım living in Turkey btw). why i'm I studying pharmacy. I went to uni and studied bio-engineering and failed, then did engineering technology and failed. I took 2 years off and have since been on treatment for depression. I went back to school this year because I didn't want to wait a third year to be better and finally study what I have always wanted to study but didn't have the confidence, courage and mental capacity to do : engineering. In my country we have an admission exam for engineering but not for bio-eng and eng technology (this study is socially viewed as inferior to engineering). It is exam period and sadly i'm in the same place that i was during my 2 other studies, unable to study anything for my exams. I hope to get better and study my dream studies (engineering) in september, I will need to learn dutch though cause I'm no longer allowed to do my first year in french.
I had the same concern about losing my creativity in this field. And my strength in the English language isn’t going to get me anywhere. It feels like our stories are so similar

Just finished reviewing my notes on pharmacology and right there jump into my journal to write some mean words on myself of how am i not be able to digest everything as I was before. So funny bc I'm in my 2yrs of experience as pharmacist now and trying to pursue a life abroad just like you. And how humble it is that just like you I'm feeling so bored and stagnant in a messy situation. But i am always reminded of a poem by Jerico Silver's " I think we'll always be on the verge of our dreams. Tormented and daunted by it. In a constant battle against self-doubt, frustration, never ending self -question. And I think we are so brave. That no matter how tired or scared or lost we are we continue. For we want our purposes be served, Our hearts be poured out.🌼💗
Go for it! You're still very young, and if worse comes to worse you still have a solid field (pharmacy) to fall back on. Try computer science. You can be creative and with your background in pharmacy that will open a lot of doors for you. From there you can do whatever you want. Computer Science allows you to work pretty much anywhere in the world. Good Luck!

I would seek a specialization, going to a new country can get boring after a while. You can teach other students, work on more complex patient cases, work with other healthcare professionals like nurses, PA and attendings. At least that is how it is in the states.

I would seek a specialization, going to a new country can get boring after a while. You can teach other students, work on more complex patient cases, work with other healthcare professionals like nurses, PA and attendings. At least that is how it is in the states.
