One of my favorite moments because it shows Shiyi's love for him. I don't think she realizes that she loves her husband but you can see it in her touch. The smile on Lingyi's face when he's watching her sleep is the icing on the cake. You can see the love he has for her written all over his face. I really enjoy seeing his playful side because he is always so serious dealing with the family. I love them
The GM is a piece of work. She's using this moment to praise Shiyi in order to teach Lianfang a lesson. She isn't sincere at all.

Shiyi is also a lot younger and has other things she is trying to do, in her defense. I like how she takes care of him, not realizing this is one way to show she loves him. 😂
@@jenniferhuff4895 true. She didn't have the best example of a good man. Her father was a wimp that didn't know how to stand up to his overbearing wife. He allowed Shiyi/her mother to be kicked out of the Luo household to live in destitute outside the city so I can understand her reluctance to give her heart to Lingyi. He was able to gain her trust because he was consistent in his actions towards her. He defended her whenever she was being wronged by his family. She saw him supporting her through some difficult times. He gave her security which is something she lacked growing up under the thumb of Madam Luo. It took her a minute to trust him especially since he started off misjudging her...lol
