Totally agree with Sonia. I think this movie was something of a return to form for Bergman. There is something very hopeful and affirming about the ending, however ludicrous and tragic, because on some level it also represents a triumph of human love.

Very good story. I just wish Bergman had used film and not video. As David points out, the technical flaws in the movie can make it difficult to watch. Harriet Andersson makes the film worth watching. She is outstanding in it.
