Brother One: But...what should I do now? How am I supposed to live...in a world that lacks the Intoners' protection? "Welcome to a world without song." - Inuart
This is the closest as you can get to the canon ending E, since in both A and E end with One killing Zero. The only difference is that in E Zero tries to make a pact with Mikhail to save him and are both killed in the process. In A this pact is not attempted.
The fact that this went straight to Nier Automata intensifies the fact that it's a knock off of Drakengard older games will never die they shaped our reality the way it is and gave it form and gave it meaning it gives all of our life meaning Drakengard ftw!
I think a lot of players have the misconception that the flower never died because brother One was still alive and i think that is completely false,we are never told that he is part of the flower as the rest of the girls are. I mean in the only ending ingame where it is explictly said that the flower is gone nobody killed brother One, also in the canon ending (ending E from Drag-On Dragoon 3 Story Side) brother One also killed Zero after she forms a pact with the dragon transfering the flower to him, killing both of them and the flower because of the pact. Then he goes to create the cult of the watchers and all that, if he was part of the flower in any way, the flower would eventually possese him and trigger the end of the world as it did in ending D, but that never happened and the flower is never mentioned again in the saga
In Shi ni ataru aka he's an intoner. He has the power to summon a dragon and everywhere he goes the red eye disease follows him. I'd give it a quick read as it's only three volumes but it explains a bit more than the game does
@@moffyzerasek6613 He have some of the powers of the intoners, but still, the flower never tried to posses him as she did with the rest of the intoners, so i dont think he is really a part of the flower, and he was alive for a long time. Anyway Shi ni ataru aka is not canon, it is part of the Drakengard 1.3 timeline, written by other people, so i dont know how much information you can trust from those works

One’s brother and his descendants are still under the influence of the flower and the angels. That’s why manah becomes possessed. He was just less influenced than the female intoners
Nope. This ending leads to Fatal Crimson manga and the Drakengard 1.3, retelling of first game that even more screwed up than original game and Inuart is a dog. Canon ending is ending E from the novelization which is combination of Ending A and B.
Yeah, basically as the other replied said: Ending A - Shi ni Itaru Aka (manga) - Drakengard 1.3 (unfinished novel, was supposed to be Drakengard 1 "remake.") Ending E (Story Side novel) - Drakengard 1 - NieR Replicant and everything else The main difference is that in Ending A there's no pact, Zero dies before she can try to resurrect Mikhail and create the pacts in this world. Drakengard 1.3 it's a Drakengard1's timeline without pacts at all. Ending E as I said, it's the opposite, in E's Drakengard 1's timeline pacts have became something usual in Midgard.

Drakengard creates Nier timeline. But if that helps you, I think Emil is indeed related to Dragons, to the Red one from Caim, Angelus. He was subject of an experiment that used the matter left behind by her corpse, the "remanants" of Drakengard in Nier.

"Welcome to a world without song." - Inuart
ironically in Drakengard 1.3 (the one where this ending is canon) Inuart is a dog.
I like how One’s brother looks like Manah after killing Zero.
Makes sense given he’s her great, great grandfather
They both do. When One first appeared, I immediately thought she is Manah or somehow related to her.
Wow, excellent use of the Emil dlc song! Really helps you feel Zero’s loss...
At 9:10 or somewhere around that you can hear Emils Sacrifice...
Yes thats the DLC soundtrack you can buy for this game

yeah, basically ending E is a combination of ending A and B.
Tara Platt's performance in this is just incredible.
Ironically, this is probably the best ending for Zero.
I agreed with your comments
For Zero only, humanity still f-up here
But not for Mihkail, and for the rest of humanity, i guess.
One's outfit is different here. I didn't realise she had two outfits.
She only uses this outfit when she needs her brother to replace her, which is rarely.
She was already aware she might die.

What song is this after mikhail is dead boss fight.
Emil's Sacrifice DoD3 ver.
so wait, so how does Emil connect with this? if this song refers to Emil in other games, then what's Emil in this game? DANG IT NOW I WANT TO KNOW!!!
It doesn't connect, is just DLC soundtrack
