I know everybody's commenting on how tragic this ending is, but let me just put *this* in perspective. *_Two just singlehandedly killed both Three and One?_* HOLY SHIT, that's a very good reason to fear her ever increasing power! Two is a beast!
I didn't understand why and how she went from optimistic in the beginning to mentally insane in all the branches Until I found out there was character prologue for all the intoners... so now I know why she was insane. Poor girl.. I honestly liked her, she was my favorite character I know it isn't real but still.. Yoko Taro really likes to troll people who gets attached to a character
@@josephaversa2494 holy shit that's so fucking cool that you can play NieR music in Drakengard!! The fact it switches to the vocals when you activate Intoner Mode gives me goosebumps haha
I feel so bad for Cent and Two... They just wanted to be happy. Cent wanted to love and protect his Intoner and Two just wanted to love and protect both Cent and her people. Fate and Destiny, on the other hand... had very different ideas...
It couldn't be helped, sadly. :/ With the nature of her Power of Song, Two was bound to bring disaster sooner or later. It is tragic indeed, since she's not an evil person. But as an avatar born from the Flower, her existence can only bring destruction, whether she likes it or not.
@@peagames2002 Meh, I'm sure he's just masquarading. Is not like he HAS to reveal his true feelings to a bunch of people he doesn't trully care about. We saw how freaking desperate he got in the DLC. Then again, why would we ever expect *a love-struck fool* to ever describe in detail such a traumatic experience to Zero and company?
@@MrDibara Hmm... you have a good point. So in that perspective, Two is insane but masquerades it, Cent is not insane, but acts stupid and foolish to cover Two's insanity so she doesn't blow up?
Even though Zero’s motive for handing the flower off to Mikhail was selfish it was probably the best course of action. Had he been allowed to die the flower would have completely taken her over and I doubt the new incarnation of Mikhail would’ve been able to seal it away
Sorry. Two being born from the Flower's power pretty much renders that impossible. At least, for the long run. But hey! I don't know if it helps, but one can always hope that they finally got to be together and happy in the afterlife. However corny that might sound at first but, hey, what can you do? :)
An extension of this ending, called Ending E, actually leads to Drakengard 1 and the NieR games. But yeah, this ending was emotional AF. Especially when you consider Two's DLC chapter.
This is my favorite version of the battle against Two. She and Cent die together fighting on the same side before the Flower can take over completely, giving her one last moment of happiness. She deserves at least that.
I wanted to believe Two could've ended things by herself if she killed Zero, but with her ever-growing strength and Cent's love for her it might be impossible for anyone, even a dragon, to kill her
To be fair to Cent, Two probably would have just killed Dito anyway. Like. Isn’t the only thing that can kill an Intoner either another Intoner or a dragon?
Yeah but it is clear they can still take damage. So at most he could incapacitate her before Zero can get her with her sword or Mikhail burns or eats her.
I swear, this ending is originally quite hopeful, but once you learn of zero’s true motivation in Branch D, it’s hopelessly tragic. She only delays the inevitable essentially. Only Yoko Taro could trick you into believing there’s one good ending and then smashing that down when more info is revealed.
@@mondraymondo also Zero is somewhat "alive" inside the flower. Of course, the greater evil is still out there, but it doesn't look like it will bring that much trouble in the near future.
According to Wiki, it is stated that though the Flower is still a threat in Branch B, it is indeed put under control because of the pact. I can assume that as it has become a part of Mikhail now to keep him alive and as dragons and the Flower are natural enemies, Mikhail's draconic nature should keep the Flower in check for as long as he lives. This ending is indeed not nearly a happy one but at least there is a sliver of hope, as in a way, Zero and Mikhail are still together, and humanity is safe from the thralls of the Flower for the time being.
Because Song of the Ancients soundtrack is literally from Nier Replicant/Gestalt, the thing is that Drakengard 3 has dlc soundtracks from Nier and Drakengard 1
The poison weakened her enough for Two to kill her body and steal her power so she might not revive. Although, it's not certain that's the real One, because in branch E, we discover One and her Brother were together in the Forest at this time, hence her clothes choice.
Never going to happen but a remasterd version with new directions would be nice this game for me was a hit and miss style game what confused me and drew me away was killing the best dragon at the opening the weird exchange between zero and the dragon companions don't care to much for do nothing in battle then later two wipes them all out zero's 2nd dragon along with her dies 1 out of 10 story game design endings bad dragon use i give this a 6 out of 10 rating was good to play own and beat that's about it.
Zero: *exists*
Cent: I would never be a simp
Two: Cent, kill them AAAAAALL!
Cent: At your service my queen

*_Two just singlehandedly killed both Three and One?_* HOLY SHIT, that's a very good reason to fear her ever increasing power! Two is a beast!
The power of song she has as a byproduct of The Flower gives her progressive strength over each day.
I think she cant control her power that’s why she seems so powerful, uncontrolled power or something
And Zero even fight all her sisters at once. Damn.
Yeah because her curse is that she grows stronger and stronger until she is killed.
Isn't that One's brother though? I thought he had the coat.
The irony of Octa calling anyone a traitor XD
Tbh I feel like Two and Cent's story was the most "Drakengard" of all of them.

Sad thing is that Cent knows what he did, but he shrugs it off and casually says that "he is just a fool". Not very regretting personality is he.
