These types of puzzles are ideal for those who work in jobs that require manual dexterity. They challenge you to consider different perspectives in order to find a solution. If true geniuses don't see this as worth the time, then they're misrepresenting themselves.
I imagined using a bolt cutter because there is no direct comparison possible without advantage of holding it, turning it and seeing more of the potential for the correct answer. My bold cutters do just as well, and so did you bending it.

You cheated. The number one rule of those puzzles is not to bend the parts. You clearly had to force it through which is bending, even slightly to get it out. If that is the only way, then it is impossible as designed.
Why these puzzles are so difficult is because we are trying to solve 3 dimensional puzzles while having a 2 dimension plain to observe it from . 😂 We are not that dumb , it's just that a screen doesn't give the same information as holding it in your hands
I was doing shit like this in pre k in the early 90s this generation is fucked . I went to pre k from 3-5 then did kindergarten then at 6 did 1st grade. I was supposed to graduate at 16 but due to stupid decisions I never did . But this just shows how backwards we are going with education. I did algebra in 5th grade now they teach in 8th-9th grade I did geometry in 8th grade and once I reached algebra 2 I got lazy I was in 9th grade . No wonder the world makes fun of our education systems
For left handed people like me, we would have accidentally solved this by trying with our left hand like we do everything else. (Except for cleaning up after dropping the packages into the abyss)
