    Not to poop on your parade, but grains, nuts, and seeds, (including sunflower seeds), contain anti nutrients, which bind to the minerals contained in them, making them hard to digest and impossible to absorb. Phytic acid is one anti nutrient, which not only keeps you from absorbing minerals like phosphorus, calcium, and iron, but it also can pull minerals from your body. You should have mentioned that these food items need to be soaked for hours before than can be properly digested.

    Do you think that having too low phosphorus can cause add symptoms I say add because I had a lack of energy add usually means that you have high a mounts but can't settle down. Any ways since I started taking 50 grams of wheat germ in my oatmeal I have a better memory sharper concentration. And I'm not worn down and wanna crash at the end of the day. Also worth nothing I don't have a slurred monotone speach. I know these positive side effects aren't simply from the b vitamins in wg. I know because I've tried coenzyme b vitamins and never felt this great.
    I also find that creatine is far more effective with more phosphorus in the diet. This may be strange but lastly I notice that I burp more, and perhaps if you never burp that may be a sign of low phosphorus levels

    Why did you say we understand magnesium 'a little bit'? Is there still alot about it, that hasn't been looked into? And why?

    • @completeleigh
      @completeleigh 5 лет назад

      Isolating single nutrients in individuals for research is difficult. It's inhumane. There's enough knowledge about magnesium to establish an RDA for it. If you have time, check out the book Advanced Nutrition and Human Metabolism by Gropper. It's a neat biochemistry book that has chapters about different vitamins and minerals.

    Dairy should never be thought of as a health food. It's taken me time to really look into dairy, and it should absolutely be avoided. Thank you Jordan for focusing on the seeds & nuts not the dairy. There is BIG $$ in the meat & dairy industries.

    You have wrong. We are made of cells? That's not the root of it. The root of cells in every human organs are made by microbiome bacteria in it's image or offshoot if you like. So we need probiotic every single day (especially fermented homemade foods). So Phosphorus is not important alone when it comes to health. You seriously need to first fight the fungus (yeast overgrowth) in the body in 2 month with anti-candida diet & aerobic exercise, and after 2 month take probiotic supplement or fermented foods in order to balance the gut (the largest center of health) so the vitamins & minerals would be absorbed properly. We have to investigate more probiotic than minerals, vitamins & fatty acid.
