@@NandiCollectorI agree, no matter how important family is this is still his job, he can take way more days off with youtube than if he had a normal job, an update should be mandatory, but we don't know what's happening so we can't assume it's only family, though it wouldn't be the first time he took a while off, with that all being said he did mention alcoholism and illnesses in the past so that could be it, no matter what I really miss him, I really expected him to come back for April fools, and he's not even active on twitter which is strange.

It sucks to see less and less of my favorite War Thunder RUclipsr... but I think Phly worked hard for this, for a great many years, and deserves to spend time raising his family. You're a real one, Phly... Steve (I'm a Steve too!), and whatever happens, good or bad, it was always a pleasure to phly with you. 😄

i love him, but it annoys me the lack of communication, last year he dissapeared for like 5 month , not a single tweet or something saying i am good just taking a break...., after that he came back with weekly videos for a few months until this, now the same dissapears, and post randon instagram stories . I mean its ok do you life but give some little comunication to the viewers that gave you everything... a little respect for us.

I don't think it's wrong to feel neglected; Phly has been lax with communication (to be fair he's always been kinda bad about it and has contradicted even stuff he says in his videos) and I worry he maybe takes his fanbase for granted sometimes. We don't need to know what he's doing every day, but large gaps between videos with no explanation is a pretty bad trend for someone who used to do it "daily".
I just worry that feeling can dovetail into a sense of entitlement, and I really want us as a community to rise above that. There is more to life than a single RUclips channel.
It's sad to see a legend like you slowly fading away, thank you for everything PhlyDaily.

Armored trains are one my favorite things from early modern warfare. I know they are borderline useless, especially now, but the rule of cool come into play.

@@user-fe7bo5mm1o that is one of those cases where you've said at the same time the stupidest and yet most brilliant things I've heard in a long time. And I'm leaning towards damn brilliant and have a feeling it's one of those things I will remember for a the rest of my life.
It's my favorite type of support cannon. There was a game called Steel Panthers, possibly Steel Panzers, and I did some digging around in the scenarios. You could change the order of the one side or both. They had Battleship artillery support. So I put an railroad gun back in the corner. And left the other side alone. Then started the scenario. The first time I used the gun it created a giant dust cloud ☁️ where it was, I started laughing! But I didn't see what happened where it hit...! So the next time I fired it I watched where I was aiming. The shell landed and I saw a new, but smaller cloud ☁️ of dust! When the dust cleared I saw a huge crater! So I looked at the area where I shot before and found that crater too, it was in a rockey 🪨 area. It blended in the background color! Then I read the rules for changing stuff and I found out that I could change the weapons on the units. I put a 6 inch howitzer on a Abrams tank. Stabilized and laser ranging of course I had to put it on an M1 Abrams! It was fun but missing something..., so I added a Battleship gun to the Abrams! It actually let me do it so I tried it out! And it actually worked, in game at least, would never work in real life. But I had a blast with the game 🎮 for a little while. You only had HE but when you kilt' everything you hit I didn't worry about it anymore...!

The Karl Gerat self propeled siege mortar could be added in war thunder: it moved on his own wheels, and had a 600mm mortar. Would be a cool event vehicle.

I dont think something that large would ever be added, but the SU-14 would definitely be a cool event vehicle. Its basically a SPG built on the hull of a T-35

Very likely they won't add it as a playable vehicle but maybe special artillery call-ins could be added that you get with SP or kills.

Phly seems so happy in his older videos, and he seems to be having so much fun. We need to give him a break so he can enjoy War Thunder like he used to. He also has some kids that he needs to make memories with, so you guys in the comments asking for more videos need to calm down.
Tons of people who don't play video games for a living also like to spend more time with their kids, but they manage to go to work. He can do what he wants, but if people move on he might not have anything to come back to

The P.2000 Monster. A Gustav railgun fitted onto a mammoth of a tread system to support it, allowing it to not be hindered solely by rail travel.

I hope they could implement the shell tracking like in naval battles. So you could see how big the shell is and how close/far off target you are
I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t coming back. The burnout has been in effect for a year now. His upload schedule shows it too. He’s got a family now, he needs to see and care for. If you look his golden age was about 3-4 years ago and with playing the same game for 13 years it’s probably over. We just got to let him go now and migrate to new War Thunder Channels. Every video is more and more depressing, I’m sure he could bring his channel back if he did migrate to other games at this point. Thanks for everything Phly ❤
Or he is just taking a break. This is how he feeds his family. He’ll either quit war thunder and do a new game with the possibility of having much less views, or he’ll suffer through war thunder and do like 2 vids a month. His old vids are still a joy..

You should try using fire and forget ATGM by locking your own drone and flying it over enemy tanks, making the missile lock the tank

Not Insulting. He's just taking in Real Life, then spending hours getting footage, and then getting it edited, then fixing any mistakes. It takes time from his family. I'd be honest, I'd rather think he got an official full-time job, cause YT won't cut it, and is now doing this when he gets a chance. I mean, it's what I'd do as a father.
I feel bad for those who have supported Phlydaily financially. I get that family comes first, etc, but to just drop completely off the face of the interweb without saying goodbye or anything to the people who supported him is a slap in the face to his supporters.

There was a design on the Gustav cannon that had engines to take away the need for railways
Iv seen a few of these in person, they had them at Aberdeen proving grounds. They use to let you go on bace and see everything. They are some amazing guns
Only 2 of these were ever built and neither survived the war. You've seen smaller railway guns.
They should make it so that after firing a certain amount of shots you need to repair or sort of reload the barrel like the historical one

@@AH-64E_apache current maps are too small for it as it wouldn't be able to aim low enough. And for naval you'd bet stuck to specific islands and better pray nothing moves close enough that you can't aim down.
Edit: Also You would be vulnerable to large bombers such as PE-8 and Lancasters
@@MISTERX_5890 they could put it in air RB as a target to destroy or a Mission, and the Gustav cannon is way too large, so anything could see it and destroy it.
