- A look back at some of the unforgettable memories that Lou Macari and his team gave Stoke City supporters during his two managerial spells at the club in the 1990's.
Great video ..... Great Memories .... Great Followings ..... Great Times
Oh how I wish I could go back to those days
Thanks for the comments Steve, great times indeed. I can only remember 1982-83 onwards as I was born in 1976 so this was my first real experience of any type of success at Stoke, not that we have a great deal anyway!
Please encourage others to visit my channel and share the video if you would think that they would enjoy it, it would be much appreciated as I attempt to grow it over the next year.
Grab the keys to the Delorian …. I’m coming with you. Happiest times for me, I’d go back in a heartbeat and do it all again, and enjoy it even more.
Lou Macari will always be my favourite manager …. So many happy memories, remember the days when we were good up front. Stein, biggins, Sheron & Thorne scored so many great goals.
Happy days indeed although I never want to go back into the 3rd tier watching us play again. Hope it's not next year either.
Loved the victoria ground, when lou was in charge,by god he got those players fit,and wanting to play for that badge.
Steino £100,000 from Oxford amazing
agree completely mate. Stein for 100k and Overson for 55k were absolute steals. It's no wonder we scored so many late goals as we were that fit.
Another great video, thanks 👍
Thanks, loved making this one, so many good times during those years.
Remember it well judus left birmingham .then got thumped7.0 by birmingham
I understand the ill feeling towards him that you may have in Birmingham, many managers have done the same to Stoke and will do again in the future, that's just part of football. Stoke and Birmingham have similar histories really and there are a lot of player links between the two clubs in this video. Believe it or not I was actually really pleased when you beat Arsenal in the League Cup Final.
Just a side-note to your original comment, Lou Macari was not the Stoke manager when Birmingham won 7-0, he had left at the end of the previous season.
One of the best youve had along with waddo and pulis, never have those days again
Just out of interest, what team do you support?
