This is so cool. When I first started watching I thought it was archival video from the late 70’s, early 80’s but I couldn’t figure out why the resolution and sound was so well reproduced 😂. Really great tribute to a phenomenal artist. I’ve been a fan since 1979. I can still remember when I was absolutely floored by “are friends electric”.
I’ve never been interested in tribute bands, particularly when the original artist is still performing. It’s always struck me as pointless karaoke. Well, how wrong is was, certainly in the case of these guys!!! Utterly brilliant in every level, performance, entertainment, musicianship, just top TOP quality. I’d love to see them Live, this is a first for me! Keep it going guys, well done, awesome.
Thank you very much. I've been singing as Gary since I was 10 years old. I get why people don't like tribute bands much but I just dislike bad tribute acts that do not put enough effort into either the sound or the presentation. We love the era so just love trying to recreate it as best we can and take people back to their teens
@@chrisfielding913 thanks for the reply Chris! All power to you. Good to hear you’ve been honing the skills for so long! As you say, and I’ve learned this now, there’s a world of difference between poor tribute bands and great ones. Just seeing some of your videos has been a joy. Can’t wait to see you and the band sometime when you’re somewhere towards the north west. It’s interesting too Chris that there’s a debate raging in the Numan fans Facebook group right at this moment, about the % of his older stuff he plays Live v his more recent material (I guess we are saying the last three albums mainly). One camp are arguing that he’s turning his back on his heritage, a huge wealth of great older songs being ignored, and they don’t like the newer stuff much. Another camp arguing the newer stuff is the best, forget the old, even sack off AFE, DITP, Cars etc. And then the middle grounders like me, who have commented that he’s getting the balance right already, showcasing the newer stuff, playing his favoured sound (not the 80s sax, girl backing vocals, funky bass etc) but he still throws in some classics to keep the nostalgists happy. One fan made a great point a few minutes ago, saying to the original poster, if you want to hear mostly the older stuff, why don’t you go and see Tubeway Days, as they focus on that era, and do a brilliant job. And I think THATS the nail on the head isn’t it! You and the band are brilliantly performing the classic stuff, faithfully reproduced, lovingly, with heart and soul, and a dash of fun too, so, what’s not to like. Between yourselves and Gary, fans are getting the absolute best of everything! I’ve seen a LOT of great comments about Tubeway Days in the last six months on various SM platforms, this really is a great thing you’re doing, and it’s not Just nostalgia, it’s so much more than that. Deepest respect, keep having fun, will see you before too long. Keep well. 😎👍
Wow, a bit surreal.... Reminds me how different (Androgynous?) Numan was back in the day. I like the obligatory 'NUMAN!' chant, funny. Wonder if it's the Same Numanoid or replicant? Great tribute and homage.
after seeing gary numan live at the albert hall and last year at Olympia. im soo glad i could afford to see the real thing ,, and not have to do with the Poundland equivilent
Getting Gary's inflections both with his mannerisms and voice are no mean feat, this guy is spot on.!
Just fantastic absolutely brilliant one of my favourite numan tracks

Reminds me how different (Androgynous?) Numan was back in the day.
I like the obligatory 'NUMAN!' chant, funny.
Wonder if it's the Same Numanoid or replicant?

And Cambridge!
Great 👍👍👍👍
Wow out of this world
Amazing 😁
Wow!
Good job!
Don't smile Gary, your image was perfect as it was 4o odd years ago. Original fan speaking.
You do know that Gary laughed and smiled on his first two world tours don't you? So why wouldn't I?
@@chrisfielding913 Did he really, recoil in Shock and Horror! Well, what do you know, eh!
This isn't Gary Numan
@@ncapone87 You are correct. It was Chris Fielding performing. Same guy who replied in this thread.
Lo tiene "clavado" es decir lo imita igual,lo que más me sorprendió fue la voz : idéntica si hay tal cosa. Al verlos ya uno no se lo toma a broma. 👍
Is this the guy who appeared on Stars In Their Eyes with Matthew Kelly years ago?
Yes it is , his name is Chris fielding
Ever consider doing a Bowie tribute as well……..
Lol, David Bowie isn't dead, he's actually in the Numan tribute band
I see a little bit of Bowie in him.
Brilliant
This is music
I like him
I was thinking of asking him out but I have noticed he has a wedding ring on his finger so that's a no no
Great performance from a great band. Was this filmed on a cameraphone Rich? It's great quality!
This man is brilliant seen the real thing many times.👍😁
Bloody hell is all I have to say!!
This is wicked , I am trying to figure out if its for real , amazing if this is legit
after seeing gary numan live at the albert hall and last year at Olympia. im soo glad i could afford to see the real thing ,, and not have to do with the Poundland equivilent
He looks like Gary in drag 😳😳
NO!
What the
Only Gary Numan can pull off such a look, moves and performance.. while everyone else just looks camp.
Sounds good but face is awful
Gary was never this camp. 😕
Very Bowiesque!
