Oh! ANNA ( Aint No Ni**ga Allowed, acronym tajen by the town according to locals) has its fare share of attraction for sightseeing activies. Its quite a wholesome sight seeing those whites forcing the blacks to stay out of the street after sundown. It is s historical practice and a very quant sight. Brings back all the memories of the past.
You hit all the great Indianapolis spots! Glad you liked Scottish Rite cathedral, one of my favorite buildings to photograph and visit. Monument Circle is, for some reason, one of my favorite haunts even if parking is a pain. I agree that you should have stayed longer to discover what most people overlook in the 'fly over state'.
AroundIndiana I'm not from Indiana but can I just say that overall... I respect the state and its kind, hardworking people and your state does have so much to offer including affordable cost of living, lovely sceneries, and so much healthy recreational activity for the family :) I want you to know we care about our Midwest brothers and sisters, you guys rock! 👍 😁 Especially Indiana! Love from Connecticut which you can consider an ally to the state of Indiana and it's awesome people :)
Robert, being from Indy originally(now living in Crystal River) I think your Indiana video was really good! Downtown there is really nice, it's been a lot of years but there is a museum in the basement of the monument on the circle. Also the Scottish Rite Cathedral is incredibly beautiful inside, if your ever there again, call ahead and see if you can get a tour. Thanks for your hard work on sharing the vids with us, you've got a great channel, hopefully we'll meet up one day!! W
+Walt G Yes. We crossed the state way too fast. Can't wait to go back with more time. I'm glad you like the channel. Thank you, and see you on the road.
Very much enjoyed your trip thru IN, and congratulate you upon your excellent taste by stopping at WHITE CASTLE! Am looking forward to your other videos; you sure do travel A LOT!
Thank you! I grew up in Indiana, it was good to see my home. Bumpy roads and all. :) North of Indy is all flat - it's farm land, but south of Indy is beautiful, I hope you got to see it.
Indeed the trip between Indy and Fort Wayne is a very boring one, but not a long drive really. However I have had 2 rims repaired over the past year! Indiana roads are not exactly smooth - but we do have weather extremes to blame.
We were driving back from Savannah GA and I was singing Roberts song.. My wife said what song is that? I answered its by "Traveling Robert" from RUclips.. Come-on, join in!!
Hi,hope you’re doing well. When you mentioned the word Elkhart my eyes just automatically filled up with water. I use to live in Elkhart for three years. Hadn’t been for the cold weather think I’d still be there. 🌹🌹🌹
My home state. I'm from Carmel Indiana. When you stopped at White Castle I live about 15 minutes north of there up Michigan road which was that big road outside the White Castle. Cool video.
Ah good old Indiana, Lived in New Albany, across from Louisville & attended the Indy 500 many times, I'd love to get you tickets. You would love it. Great video as always. Go Robert!!
Yet another very enjoyable video, Robert. We lived in Hoosierland for many many years, but are now far away. Glad you enjoyed beautiful Indianapolis. So much to see and do. Oh, and yes, of course, we love your addicting theme music and cheerful attitude. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
We're really enjoying your videos. You're research of an area you travel through adds so much. That power plant you passed on your way into downtown Indianapolis, my dad worked there for over 25 years. Most people that live here don't know what that plant does and there you are explaining it in your video, well done! If you ever back in town stop by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. By the way, what's your process of preparing for your trips, all that research?
So many familiar places. That darn entrance ramp coming out of Kokomo onto 31...had my left front tire fly off going on that once....terrifying experience. There are so many nice state park campgrounds in the state, its a shame you missed them.
Thanks for the peak at Indiana. Glad you followed your "Gut"... Spidey Senses though... about parking in too 'out of the way' places. Always better safe than sorry. Stay Safe
Born in Indianapolis and raised in southern Indiana. Jackson n Clark county. Beautiful Crothersville is my hometown but I've lived all over southern Indiana. It really is a good place to raise a family as long as you can stay out of trouble. I had to relocate myself because I knew people everywhere n they were not people I need to be around. Anyway, so beautiful in that part of the country, sure beats the brown, dry, and city atmosphere of Nevada. Just my opinion but I miss it. Great country side for fishing and hunting and farming and great people as well. There's good and bad people everywhere i believe. I'll always be a Hoosier at heart.
"Not the smoothest of roads" pretty much describes the entire state. Try going to I-69 in Madison County, where you'll see "NEXT LEVEL ROADS" from the Indiana DOT alongside "Rough pavement" signs.
+Billyt Thank you. That place is a must see for any Rver.... the core systems haven't changed much since the 70s...but the museum goes back to the early house cars. Very interesting.
This was great. I used to live in Elkhart so I was super excited by the memories it brought back. My father worked at Starcraft back in the 1970's. During the summer we used one of the demo models to do a big summer vacation. The biggest ones being Yellowstone (twice) and Grand Canyon (with lots of stops in between). For all of those trips we left from Elkhart. We moved away in 1980 and so our RV trips stopped. I do a fair bit of traveling now but haven't gone RV yet. Love your videos!
Indiana is my home state! I also saw you drove through some very familiar towns and sites that I am very familiar with including Indianapolis, Kokomo, and of course one of my favorite places Grissom Air Force Base and Museum outside of Peru, Indiana!
I would like to say a big thank you for all that you do to make this channel so pleasant to come back to again and again. You must spend hours editing these together from what two different cameras? You are doing a fine job my friend. And Indiana is a great place to live. I've been here now for a total of twenty-four years. The first time I was here I stayed for ten years and only after four years away came back and plan to spend my elder years here. Again thank you for all your hard work.
+Jerry Densmore Thank you so much. I have two main cameras I use, and then my phone. I'm going to time myself next video see exactly how long it takes but I estimate about and hour per minute of final product. I enjoy doing it very much.
TravelingRobert It shows you must enjoy doing this. It's not like you make any great deal of money from it so the Joy is a great reason to do it. Thanks Robert.
Hay Robert, Well done.. you really did cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. You also made a good decision about not staying where your not comfortable. I have left Wal-Mart's and truck stop when I didn't feel comfortable. BTW, Music City is one of your best pieces besides my RV.. I love it every time you put it in..
Everyone ends up stopping at that gas station / truckstop in Henryville. I end up there all the time. It's similar to that stop in Lewisburg West Virginia, you can't avoid it traveling.
I have been following you for months, probably 100 videos. Lately, there seems to be too much road and less stuff. can we go back, we all know what driving looks like. Thanks Keep em coming !
Another great video Robert. Sorry to be such a nag, but I can't figure out how you did that moving map AND the animated route. I can build the animated route in Motion but I can't figure out to cover such a large area while keeping the level of detail. Any chance you can explain the steps? Thanks.
+Chris Danner I am going to do a how to video soon I think. To get the high resolution on the map I take several screenshots and then stitch them in Photoshop.
ok traveling robert i wont be able to talk to you for awhile i am going on vacation for awhile so i thank you for all you did for me i will see you sometime next year
next time your in IN you shuld visit cabose lake campground in remengton IN right off of 65 and 24. we were seasionol campers and loved it the staff are like family and every one is nice its clean and awsome
Although you were in Indiana , you were on the Interstates which we all know that you can't take in the beauty of the states traveling the interstate . There is much beauty in our state of Indiana .
I am from a place called the central coast an hour north of Sydney I am going to Noosa in Queensland next July also passing coffs harbour and Surfers paradise. Your welcome to come along.
I first became aware of the world around me in Shelbyville, about 30 miles SE of Indianapolis. I was disappointed to see that it's not even shown on the map near the beginning of this video. It's not huge (around 19,000 pop.) but it is large enough to be shown on the map.
Great video. You answered the question of where do you park when you go to a city and want to stop and look around, eat or whatever. How does your RV hold up while driving in extreme wind and rain? Also, have you ever heard of Taylor Coach RV's? They are based in Canada and make extremely small RVs. The smallest one is 8 feet long tongue to tip. I was mentioning this because I know you were interested in class Bs. However, if you combine your Kia and an 8 or 10 foot RV from Taylor, that would be the same length. Anyway, great video...looking forward the second part!
+Dawn Lizarraga Thanks I'll look into those but I think at 10 feet we would not have enough interior space. I have not experience heavy wind yet. Rain is fine though. If it is too bad we just pull over. When it comes to towing my biggest challenge has been mountains. Looking into a beefier cooling system for old Kia.
US 31 goes along the lake Michigan shore line, a great drive, & ends just south of Mackinaw City on i-75, Small resort towns ,lots of water views campgrounds & State Parks all the way up ! Think about it if you ever go that far north again ! Michigan would welcome you !
Time is always a factor. But hope you are able to make it work sometime. Don't believe you'll be disappointed ! Each season has it's own adventures & appeals !
Kokomo my Hometown. And yes there is nothing much there. But if you would have stopped for gas one more light up there was a big gas station with full truck service
I stopped counting at about 15 the number of pedestrians you almost hit, , let alone rolling all the way up to the accident then merging and almost hitting multiple vehicles. With that being said, just drove from texas to ft Wayne and back this week and did enjoy the drive thru Indiana , drove a lot of 2 lane country roads thru farmland . had good pizza and beer in Indy at Jockamo with multiple hot rod cars driving by!
Oh, you missed beautiful gary, the drive by shootings are so lovely this time of the year.
hifijohn it’s nothing compared to Chicago’s south side. Englewood is a war zone.
So sad he didn't drive through Delaware County the meth labs are a great sight

Everything I get into Indiana, I literally feel like I traveled back in time.
My home state I love Indiana!!!
I liked Indiana too... except for some of the roads. I would love to spend more time there
Traveling Robert agree
Nice to see someone salute Indianapolis. I'm a Hoosier by birth and you brought back a lot of memories. Dennis
