I have that Blade Runner DVD tin and the Casino Royale 3- disc DVD Deluxe box set with a hard outer slipcover, similar to that blu ray set. Those are a couple of the awesome DVD sets I would never trade up, even if I've got the movies on a further 2 formats! I haven't bought anything since Scream 3 4K earlier in October. I live in Israel so October 7th really screwed everything up for the whole country. Wasn't sure if I'd get the deliveries and this week is the first time I've started working again since, so...cost of living, definintely a factor. I did pre-order that tasty Arrow Conan Chronicles set though. Couldn't resist!

@@ElectricGeek I'm an expat Londoner and I grew up with the Scottish accent all around me, I had a couple of Scottish teachers as well, so while my Israeli wife needs subs during Outlander, I ken exactly what they're saying! There are a few collectors here I'm sure, I just haven't met them. I'd never give it up for streaming. Scream 3 is more fun that I remembered, but it's not up there with the best of them. I think it's more nostalgia for me because it was my first region 1 dvd from a dodgy warehouse retailer my college mates and I found near Watford... And that Conan set looks tasty, as all Arrow sets do. Anyway, keep it up, I love watching your vids! Have a good one!
Cracking set that Blade Runner !! I still have it sat on my Shelf on display , never selling it ! Wanted is the first steelbook i ever got and still have that too, cracking NIN soundtrack on it , No slip for the extended Martian mate , I recently bought Halloween 1nd 2 from shout factory and The fog
I was really chuffed with it Aidey for only £10. For all I watch the various different cuts of BR, the dvds will do fine. Final cut on 4k is my go-to version anyway. I’d like to get my hands on a shout factory title, even just out of curiosity and i’ve never seen the fog! Solid haul. I also own Mortal Kombat but didn't get the 4K because I heard it's not much of an upgrade. I personally was SO into it. And it's not even my cup of tea lol I'm seriously juiced for the sequel! That 4K of Speed is decent too! I didn't think the 4K was too exquisite, but it does look sexy. And how could you not want Speed haha

I have both Croupier and Speed on 4K and they both massive upgrades over previous releases. The Blu-ray of Speed was colour balanced badly making this new transfer essential. Enjoy.
Lucky enough to have that *Blade Runner* DVD set from when it was released in early December 2007. Nice purchases; excellent *Casino Royale* set _but_ just keep that one for the extras and don't watch _that_ disc as it's cut to make it a 12; the uncut one (in various other releases) is a 15. To me *Wanted* is let down by the fact (I think) the comic/graphic novel shows some of the abilities are mystical whereas the film portrays them as physically possible when they just aren't - it's a personal annoyance that won't affect many watchers opinions but if they'd just said 'bending bullet trajectories' was partially 'mystical' in some way I'd have enjoyed it so much more as otherwise it's a great fun action movie. BTW there is a US 4K Amaray of it that came out in March 2023. I think you're right that *The Martian* 4K (extended or non-extended) never has a slip. Nice *Speed* 4K edition and slip - personally I got the steelbook but both look good. Really enjoyed your video and you have yourself a new Subscriber.

I thought that version of CR in particular had the ‘15’ cut but maybe not then? I have the 4k of casino royale so that’s the one i’d watch which is the ‘15’ cut so i’m all good. It’s juat slightly longer takes of the stairwell fight sequence is my understanding. BBFC wanted it cut down a bit to make the bad guy’s struggle and eventual demise a bit less violent for a 12a. I’m not familiar with the wanted comic so i just take the movie at face value but i get why u have ur issue with it. What ur saying makes sense. They maybe just wanted the film adaptation to be slightly more grounded in the probable. Appeal to the masses more? I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway, i might actually watch Speed tonight. I thought the cuts were from the chair/torture sequence as the BBFC aren't keen on people enjoying torture. Yes; the 4K (and the Blu-ray in the 'Bond 50' set are uncut 15s (I think there's another Bond movie that's a 15 so Bond 50 was already going to be a 15 and no point cutting the Casino Royale for more buyers!). IIRC I watched *Ghost In the Shell* live action on consecutive nights with *Blade Runner: 2049* (my wife was away on a course so I had the TV to myself!) as they're both sort of post-apocalptic, near future ideas. If I'm honest I _loved_ *GitS* for the cool visuals and action but felt it lacked something binding it together (plus failed to explain a few things enough), which the anime did better. *BR: 2049* I was hooked from start to finish - I'd really worried they'd take *Blade Runner* and turn the sequeal into an action-fest rather than still being something with depth, as the trailers seemed to hint at. I needn't have worried! Apart from the last 15-20 minutes (which is a _tiny_ proportion of the _looooong_ runtime) I absolutely loved the whole thing... I just had problems with what I think were big plotholes at the end - I must rewatch in case I was tired and they were explained! It, also, of course has stunning visuals and I use that as my reference 'show off' 4K movie. One day I really must watch *Blade Runner: 2049* in 3D as I have the steelbook set which has the 4K, 3D BD and 2D BD... and the more recent steelbook with the unique special features bonus disc! I no wonder you're addicted to physical media you can get just about every film worth getting on Blu-ray these days for around 7 quid! Finally completed my PT Anderson collection the other day well overdue. Funny mention tins I bought one in a charity shop yesterday and it was just like four random action movies package together with a s*** cover! I've seen that a million times I've seen a million tins but I've never seen the two together. And gran turismo in a gold dvd box which is a bit weird. Speed on 4K is awesome because if you think of how startling is when things come towards the camera and how good it is when something tracks forward really fast on 4K? well that's the whole f****** movie isn't it down lift shafts and through highways.
A lot is made these days about physical media dying but there’s never been a better time to but i think. Maybe s last hurrah but like u say u can get it so cheap now. Congrats on finishing your PT Anderson collection mate 😃 i’ve only got liquorice pizza on blu ray, it’s a great little flick. That movie was finished entirely photochemically i believe which makes it pretty unique these days! Love magnolia and boogie nights. I still need to see There will be blood. @@ElectricGeekYes absolutely it's a collectors wet dream these days, I bought cannibal Holocaust on 4K the other day who saw that coming back in the day! 😂 It's become a boutique collector's market for guys like us, DVD still outsells blu-rays for casual viewers. I think people are right that 4K will be the last home video format, which is kind of good because I don't think it would lend itself well to 35 mm films. It's a crap age to go to the cinema but a great age to watch at home! 🙂

Love that BR DVD set...it's in great shape considering its second hand. Very jealous of the MK 4k, can you believe I don't own it?
You need to get MK on at least blu ray. Don’t think 4k one is essential. I had great fun with it in the cinema as a casual MK fan. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers for watching pal 😃👍
